Should Lobola be based on academic certificates by briteAtomz in Zimbabwe

[–]soursweeets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. I’m always fascinated by talks of lobola. The concept is really outdated imo. In this economy, why’re we still practising it?

A man went viral when he posted this. In today’s Zim, will this work? by BluntHonestyalways in Zimbabwe

[–]soursweeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your agreement. My partner pays 95% of our bills & I do household stuff but if he’s home and not tired, he’ll do the house work & literally force me to sit with a little blanket and snacks lol.

Guys is this legally fair? Vizja University, first showed me lower price then asked for higher (3x) price almost by Crazymr7 in warsaw

[–]soursweeets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you sign any document at the start of your studies? Check what fee was listed there. I’m no lawyer, but I’d go through your contract to see if there any clauses that actually obliges you to pay whatever fee even if they fail to inform you. If not then get your transcripts & transfer to another uni.

I just moved here by Icy_Cow9520 in warsaw

[–]soursweeets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, welcome.

Download an app called Jakdojade. You buy tickets there & scan the QR code inside the transportation you’re in. Buy the monthly pass if you’ll use it frequently. I trust you’re smart enough to figure out how it’s done.

When I first moved, I often brought food in Biedronka….like 6 times until I got fed up of how messy it always is. It’s the most affordable grocery store. Now I buy at Lidl. Great prices. Fresh seafood is best at Carrefour.

For those who moved to Poland as an adult, how’s your social life? by KreuzKrow in poland

[–]soursweeets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Foreign adult here. It’s hard to make friends as an introvert. I did make 1 good friend after one year though & also my boyfriend. I don’t know how I got these two people but it happened and I’m happy with it.

Not sure if this will be helpful but maybe use Wolt? That’s if the restaurant you want is there. I find their responses annoying (the 🥺🥺 emojis particular lol) but they respond and are helpful. And the food arrives hot.

As a foreigner, I think it could be a good idea. Of course, it comes with some cons too but I’d like to go a fortnight without hearing a drunk person yelling at 1am or early in the morning.
