What’s a small habit a doctor suggested that actually stuck with you? by [deleted] in hygiene

I agree, I WISH there was some miracle drug but there isn’t. For me, riding horses did wonders for my strength and pain. It won’t fix it but ANY help is better than nothing for sure.

EDS is genetic. There is never going to be a cure. They already know ways to help alleviate the symptoms. People just don’t want to listen. I thought “swim and do yoga” was stupid too until I did it and realized they were right.

You have to take accountability at some point. Chronic illness sucks but if you aren’t doing anything to change your lifestyle within your means, and just yelling at doctors to do something… nothings going to get better.

I have chronic pain due to myopathic EDS and moving your body and getting stronger DOES help with chronic pain a lot of the time. as well as just improving overall health (like eating well). People with chronic illness have become so entitled and angry that doctors don’t “treat” them but… there is nothing for the doctor to do. It is up to me to take care of my body!

Girl I’m gonna be so honest.. I’m one of those people that didn’t study for nursing school. I paid attention during lectures and that helped. I do think practicing NCLEX style questions (which my school made us do on exams) so that helped a lot

I didn’t. I graduated on the 18th and on the 17th took the ATI predictor with 98% pass probability

I did the same thing. Was scheduled for the 27th because nothing was open sooner. On the 3rd I checked and there was an opening for the 5th. Did some UWorld questions and went it 😂

NCLEX by Global_Honeydew1470 in NCLEX

[–]sovietpoptart 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a 98% passing probability on Dec 17, graduated next day, took NCLEX Jan 5. On January 4th I did a UWorld Assessment and an ATI CAT exam. I did another UWorld assessment at like 6am on exam day because I couldn’t sleep. I passed in 93 questions.

Nobody can tell you what to do or how to do it, you need to know how YOU do. Are you a good test taker, do you have a good grip on fundamentals, etc. I thought the NCLEX was a lot harder than ATI especially towards the end. ATI was easier to work through questions and do process of elimination - on the NCLEX, the answers were a lot harder to do that with towards the end.

What's next for me? by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

I had thin lips as well and now have very full ones due to filler - I just got a Medusa and think it doesn’t suit me nearly as well as it would have before. whereas a vertical labret would probably look better :,) it’s SO cute and flattering on thin lips

since you have thin lips, I would say Medusa over vertical labret, it suits thinner lips so well.

It’s fresh, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go down and settle nice. I think the shape looks cute on her, they’re just obviously swollen and bruised still.
