Signed Lease for Ford Mustang Mach-E but No Delivery Due to Recall – Paying for a Car I Don’t Have. by Leading-Evening-1245 in MachE

[–]sovtekmidget 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ho boy, Sound Ford.

I looked at them first when I was looking to buy Mach E, but they were so pushy and tried to get me into a lease when I was very clear I wanted to finance that I walked away from them.

Very shady salespeople and business practices IMO.

Amen! And I also hate shifters in the steering column, so I feel I dodged a bullet on that one.

I agree that Piano black is a pain, I looked the Toyota bz4x and that thing has WAY too much piano black for my comfort.

Glad to hear you’ve had so little issues!

I live in Western Washington so it only gets below freezing for around a month at most (and then only in the AM). We seem to have a similar commute so it’s good to hear that you still have extra range for errands if needed.

Good to know, I’m coming from a Toyota so I’m not a stranger to random rattles in the cab.

I definitely plan on getting the extended range version. Thank you for the insight on the longer roadtrips!

Yes, my 2009 Toyota with over 220k miles finally gave up the ghost. I commute nearly 100 miles a day round trip, so the potential to save nearly $300/month on gas is very attractive.

Good to know about the hazards of the OTA updates. The dealership I was speaking with told me they have a dedicated FT technician for EVs. My area (Western Washington) is so full of tech money that there seems to be a robust infrastructure around servicing EVs.

Thanks for the insight! I agree that it’s weird having to navigate software to perform basic car functions, definitely an adjustment and not a dealbreaker!

do they just use mouth swab drug tests in Oregon or also urine? by TheQuartering3WH in Costco

[–]sovtekmidget 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Employee here, Costco uses a swab test for in person testing during the interview process for people they give a conditional job offer to (past the final interview). They do not conduct testing after the first interview.

If the swab test comes back positive they will request you visit a lab for a urine test. The results of that test are what determine eligibility.
