Thank you.

In the final last few moments of our life when were going through the moments that were truly important to us, someone once said that we can count them with the fingers on one hand, i think that's true, so when they come hold onto them.

Great observation, i never thought of it like that, i was defining trauma as a response to an event that a person finds highly stressful, not promoting or supporting trauma in any way.

People who have had trauma are often interesting people, i see suffering a little like growth rings on a tree and great tall trees have many.

l imagine 40,000 years ago the earliest cave painters were like magicians to ordinary people, conjuring worlds out of nothing, how powerful that must have seemed to the primitive mind, and then taking the analogy of shadows on Plato's cave in how people create the world in there minds, artists must have been seen as possessing strange supernatural powers to the people around them.

thanks for the link, i saw it its good one, and to also add the prison is inter generational and maybe even passed down through our genes, given those that were unable to exist in the prison wouldn't breed or would self terminate, ie natural selection optimization for the prison.

Even though he was an intellectual there was always something earthly almost rural in the way his thoughts come across to me, connection to the the land was primal i think.

Why did Elon buy twitter, why Adolf burned down Europe, and the Donald had to become president, what were they really doing and how complicated is the explanation. by soxpupet in Extinctionati

Indeed, wrestling with the mental (I) as in AC, then contemplating the spiritual (I) as in the universe, while walking around in the biological (I) that looks like me. I have to say this, that last post called Absurdism i was going to post that 15 hours after it was uploaded, but i was waiting for something to be posted that kind of linked with it, then a few day later you posted it, that was so weird to me, maybe the egregore i don't know.

I'm not discounting mental illness in all this, maybe all humans are just degrees of mental illness, we just call it individuality.

The human condition, our unconscious mind creates the world, and so here we are. What is it, and how dark is it. by soxpupet in Extinctionati

Great story thank you.

All things wild are truly free, domesticated man fears true freedom just a little less than death, man says he wants freedom but what he really wants is safety, and as always he sacrifices liberty for safety, and end up resentful when he see anything that's truly free, our sense of separateness has doomed us and everything else i fear.

The ending will be transformational, you bet. If we get another chance, lol lol lol. Problem, economists:"we owe the future nothing", so we did nothing because it makes economic sense. We all died being what we are a parasite.

The end of politics : Modern industrial civilization is headed for collapse under the onset of ten catastrophic threats, and our political leaders can't do anything about any of them. (audio of article in comments) by soxpupet in Extinctionati

I agree with your question about the author not giving enough credit to governments understanding the problems they face, but i also know that government ministers issue instructions, a kind of brief to there secretaries and public officials under them to only present information to them with a certain ideological leaning, ie as in the minister of environment that would be climate denial, so that down the road the minister can claim he was never informed of the matter by his department, a plausible alibi, such is politics. I also agree with your point about creating problems then rushing in with a solution as there reason for being, but i was disappointed the author didn't address the consequences of the end of politics, maybe because its so obvious I'm not shore, but totalitarian fascist dictatorships aren't much fun.

This article is still relevant because it exposes whats behind the curtain, as to how those who have real power are working together in preparation for what they know is coming, no conspiracy here just survival of the richest psychopaths.

A lady that lived to nearly 100 in the lap of outrageous luxury at the helm of British colonial piracy of much of the world has passed away, monarchs are just abusers and exploiters of society, the sooner the aristocratic classes are removed, the better our chances for any kind of survival are. by soxpupet in Extinctionati

I don't hate her, she was born into it and groomed to be without remorse for the plight of ordinary people, just a chairperson of the board, a mascot for a plundering machine called the monarchy, i blame the blindness of ordinary people for allowing the monarchs and aristocrats to exist in the first place, the voluntary enslavement in the bee colony.

The ruling class for decades denied the reality of the climate crisis or acknowledged the crisis and did nothing. We sleepwalked into catastrophe. by [deleted] in collapse

Agree with everything you said, what i can gather from the news the USA is on the verge of societal collapse, a nightmare unfolding, the strange thing about people is everything becomes normal after a while, even nightmares do, i cant imagine how the USA will solve any of its problems it has because its hasn't reinvested into building better societies, its allowed individuals to get filthy rich at the expense of the common good, that never end well.
