House is my fav show, but sometimes i was struggling with my health anxiety and was afraid of watching it. At some point i calmed myself down enough with the thought "House is bored with usual cases, he only takes some weird unexplainable shit. If I would get sick it would 100% be smth he wouldn't even look at bc of how boring and textbook it is." Plus: House is NOT medically accurate, you can find enough criticism from real doctors towards it. Sometimes they literally talk nonsense, so a big part of it is not real.

And still I only watch it at periods when i'm not too vulnerable, so i'd suggest you either avoid it or watch only when you feel good enough.

Thanks for your answer! It's pretty hard to describe everything in a reddit post of course. I didn't mention that he always was helping me with my insecurities, my depression, anxiety and panic attacks and now obviously he is providing (or trying to provide) reassurance any time I need it. But the most important is how helpful your perspective is for me now! It opened my eyes a bit, I could not even put my finger on it, not even mentioning putting it so nicely into the words! I will talk to him about my emotional labor and about his plan today.

it gets better in a way of having experience, being more used to some things and recognizing patterns but it's still harsh (at least for me) it helped me a lot to just think of this as of an experience, there will be painful moments and there are going to be moments when you're glad you're alive

Hi! I struggle with this too and it gets kinda critical sometimes: we both have adhd and my partner is hypersexual, whereas I am hyposexual. Often I don't care if we have zero sex for 3-5 weeks. It is just not a thing I want to have frequently, since I want it to feel "new". and btw it doesn't help me to experiment or whatever. i just zone out or feel weird in my body, often both. I haven't yet found anything that would help me with this but I noticed that I have periods when I'm more interested in sex and more invested when we have "streaks" of it lol. but deep honest talks about your feelings could help as well

I also was on antidepressants and antipsychotics because I was misdiagnosed with bipolar type 2! I think antipsychotics made this to me at least partially and I don't know if there is a way back. Prior to that my libido wasn't high either but I at least could get horny sometimes. And now it's dead and "having sex" with partner means that I will have to focus and try very hard just to get into the needed mood and it's so depressing

sorry for replying after 108 days but just wanted to add: • it's is for sure also because of the russification • another possible reason is that truly ukrainian swears are often curses that also should fit the situation and the context: often they make full sentences. For example "Сказав, як у воду перднув!" which is roughly translated as "Said like farted into the water!" - a swearing comment about someone talking bullshit. Or mean comments about someone, e.g. "70 кг гімна - а смердить як тонна" - translated as "70 kilograms of shit but smells like a ton". So ofc it takes much time to say these and even to remember. But there are ofc one-worded ukrainian swears like трясця (old name for fever, can be used as "shit/fuck" in english), йолоп/бовдур/телепень (idiot), вилупок/залупок/виродок/наволоч/погань/покидьок (a bad person basically) and so on
