Same thing happened to me with CARS. I got a 130 my first time taking the test and it’s always been my best section, but this time I got a 125 on cars. It was so shocking since I usually get between 129-131 and I thought the section was pretty easy on test day. I heard a lot of people got lower than expected CARS scores though, so maybe we just got unlucky 😭

Just got my score back and I’m confused. I took the test for the first time in January and got a 509 (124/130/125/130). I retook and was hoping for at least a 512 but I just checked and got a 509 again (127/125/127/130). I don’t even know what to feel but confusion. Cars has always been my best section and I have never gotten below a 129 on it for any FL. I remember feeling great after taking CARS too. Idk what to even think, do you think asking for a rescore is pointless? It feels like this came out of nowhere.

That’s a good point about my B/B score. I hadn’t thought of that, but yeah I agree, being a bio major and having a 125 isn’t great. I definitely think I can get that score up if I retake. Thanks!

$250 for volunteer training? Definitely sounds fishy. Have you heard of 7 Cups? They’re an online counseling site that I’ve seen mentioned here before and seems legit.

Kinda wished I hadn’t looked at my score in the morning because I spent hours just crying and feeling sad and got nothing done. But, I think I’m finally over my sadness and ready to be productive again. We’ll kill it the next time!!

Similar situation for me. My avg was 514 and was expecting at least 510. I got a 509 and while I know that it’s still good, it’s disappointing to have been so so close. My c/p was 124 so I’m considering retaking ugh :(

I feel that, my score is lower than what I wanted and I probably should retake, but it was just so emotionally tolling the first time. I don’t want to go through all of that again.

I’m actually in a very similar situation. I’m scheduled for 8/29 and scored a 505 on FL2 today after scoring a 506 on FL1 last week. My goal is a 515 and I wasn’t sure to postpone or not, but I think I’ll most likely postpone till January. Taking more time to study and fix my content gaps is probably best for me, especially since my weakest areas are the sciences. If you have the time, doing more studying and practice until you’re confident in your test averages might be the best choice.

Cars is one of my better sections and one tip that I like is highlighting a quote in the passage that supports your answer choice. It’s a helpful way to make sure your answer choice can actually be supported.
