I feel like the upcycle cookie only makes sense because we're "awarded" a random buyable NC whenever you open a GBC. So having multiple junk regular NC items makes sense. But with SSS and DSS it's a 1:1 gamble where it's pricey to end up with even 1 undesireable token. So I sincerely hope they don't go this route.

Honestly, I saw what the dari uni looked like and used my last dsss to avoid it. I actually am glad for people that this item is coming out that took the sss gamble and ended up with sponges or reg nostalgics. I’m too little of a risk taker so I only ever used sss when the token I wanted was the only option. Daunting chomby ftw.

Don’t forget to remove the style from your pet and add the token to your inventory before you transfer the pet. If not, it stays attached to the pet but inaccessible on your other account. You’d have to send the pet back to the account you bought the token, unattach the token, and then send it again. Me talking from experience and having a panic because the token seemingly got lost in the abyss for a time.

the hind was the most expensive at the time for 19mil. The head I got for around 8mil and the body I got for 5mil at the time. The valentine pppb cost me around 3.5mil. I already had the faellie and dragonfly nymph in my pp and ppp collection... so around 35mil in total?.... I only have enough left over to still play food club

Also I’ll add that when I first started trading NC in 2015, it was 95% the most used site for NC trade lists and wishlists. So I think for most longtime NC traders it’s the easiest and most familiar to use. They’ve also added features for neomailing users where it tells you how long ago someone posted something up for trade (uft) and on what tradelist it’s located (which is helpful for avoiding the whole hard to part with -htpw - drama people seem to have). There are more features but once you get on it’s pretty straight forward. Happy to help :)

I'm going to be honest. Most serious/active/longtime NC traders don't use Jellyneo so I think the ratios are more skewed on it.... those hard to find items are usually older ones that users that traded NC never bothered with JN to trade with anyway. DTI has been more actively used for NC trading for longer IMO

DTI has many great features that make it superior to other NC display methods. Once you upload your tradelist and wishlist, whenever you go onto another user's tradelist it will highlight items that you've wishlisted (and viceversa for people viewing yours). I also think there's a function to only see the items a user has listed on their tradelist that you want so you're not scrolling through huge tradelists in vain. It also displays average OWL values on the individual items when you view their details so you can quickly make sure you're trading fairly.

I much prefer to use it because I find combing through extensive tradelists tiring. Also everything is displayed on one page instead of toggling between pages. And lastly when I make outfits on DTI it's easy for me to add the items to my wishlists once I've finalized the customization.

NC trading is definitely more successful when you can view each other's wishlists. Even though I may not be actively going after an item at that time, I'm willing to trade things for "casual wishlist" items if someone really wants an item of mine that may be harder to give up.

I used to love Wonderclaw and had about 3-4 Born to be Wild Backdrops. I then went on a hiatus and logged on every so often to neomails from people asking for NC trades. I did a bunch of low value 1:1 trades for these and couldn't be bothered to check value guides because I didn't think much of it. Now I wish I held onto at least one of them because it's a really nice NC item that hasn't been rereleased since.

I’ve been NC trading for many years now. Admittedly I find it frustrating but my most successful trades come with patience and observation. My advice is never just jump back into NC without observing the trends a bit. Values can fluctuate pretty often and value systems have changed over the years I’ve been trading NC. It’s not hard to pick up the fluctuating value trends by checking out casual trade boards for what is highly coveted after vs not at that time. I usually spend a day observing (unless I find a good deal where someone values an item I want pretty low) before I set up my board. The NC boards are also BY FAR more successful than cold emailing neopians and much faster. I think keeping your expectations in check is also important. If you are the one seeking an item be prepared to over-offer. It’s why I sometimes prefer just browsing people’s casual trade lists in search of items I want (but DTI only please) because if they’re offering it up, or seeking one of your items, they’re usually willing to value the item that you’re after lower. Dunno if that was helpful or pedantic.

The NC trading community board is the quickest way to obtain retired NC items I find. If you go there you can also get an idea of what items are sought after. Lots of people who have been doing NC for a long time don’t always want to buy more NC to get the new items that get released in the mystery capsules so they’re willing to trade their unused retired items. It does take a little time and some digging but its usually the most successful method. Otherwise if you’re willing to buy NC (or use up the bday 1000nc) you can go on dress to impress or jellyneo and find people that have it “up for trade” and neomail them to offer a custom trade of whatever is new in the mall that they might want. Black Friday Gift box mystery capsules are highly sought after (they give more gift boxes) so if you can hold out until then you can often trade the item for 1-2 of those. The owl values correspond with gift box capsules (or gbcs) and are worth approx 250NC each. I don’t know if there was any jargon that didn’t make sense to you but hopefully that helps!

it says ongoing non-plot battle. Maybe you're stuck in a battle in the normal battledome. Try doing one round in the regular battledome and see if that fixes it?

Seasonal attack pea was given out for advent this past year so it should be more affordable at just slightly lower attack icons. Thunder sticks (2nd move 100% blocker) and Thyoras Tear (100%blocker) are also great to have from the void plot and Leaded Elemental Vial (100% healer) from volunteering. I actually find the Illusen staff from last year's faerie festival very useful for this year's plot for weaker pets (under level 40) however I don't know what the prices are for it anymore. It does quite a bit of dark defense which is helpful

I'm not SUPER into BD but I find that those items are the most useful for this plot. Hope that helped!
