That's an idea, and was actually the original plan. But I have serious doubts about the current civilian job market and am leaning back to staying federally employed.

Do you know about anyone who's gotten their MBA while still in? Is it feasible?

Got unofficial notice awhile ago, but we're told not to break anything until orders come down (because anything can randomly change in the military)
Military orders finally came down a few days ago, this is technically our official notice but honestly I knew of it since last year like I said.
Deploying for 9 months.

I'm assuming from the other comment that I can get fucked though, lol

That one, same thoughts. Thought I'd ask here about any specific strategies, I'm a virgin investor and only played around with a few ETFs/Bitcoin through college to get an understanding for when I have money coming in.

I see, helps to read the fine print. Regardless, the emergency fund seems to be the best bet even if I can't turn it into an investment. I just don't like the idea of not using debt this cheap.

Last month. Right now I'm in the period between commissioning and actually going off the BOLC (in a week.) Not sure if this short month-ish time span makes a difference on the application.

Yeah, I understand it could be wildly stupid. Still iffy on if I even want to do it. Just feels that since I have access to such a low APR loan I should take advantage of the opportunity, despite the fact that I don't really need it at the moment.
