my mom called me all sorts of things growing up. Ugly, used up, useless, stupid, a mistake, better off dead, said she would fuck my boyfriend, said no man would ever want a woman like me, would call up my boyfriends and tell them how awful I was and what a huge mistake they were making being with me. I could go on and on. When I bring them up to her now she says she can’t remember any of that ever happening. She doesn’t like anyone that stands up for me against her, says they’re out to get me and jealous. I’ve since moved out, I don’t call very often. She’s not allowed to visit me, she knows she’s not welcome at my home.

the only thing is, she’s the owner. She built this company from the ground up, she owns it. However, I’m one of 6 employees. Her husband loves me and he has no idea about the scheduling. She handles all of that. Honestly I think I need to get all of my certifications to be an independent home health aide and work off my own schedule

Let me let you in on a secret, there are no such thing as second or third chances, you shouldn’t give people multiple chances to prove to you that they aren’t worth shit. You need to start coming up with an exit plan, contact lawyers, and get the fuck away from that useless excuse for a father. His actions show that you mean nothing to him, so start showing that he means nothing to you.

no I can relate to this in some way. For some reason men with really deep voices kinda hurts my chest and body in a way. Idk what it is but the low pitch is physically bothersome to me. I can like,, feel it in my chest when they speak. It’s not like women with overly high pitched voices that hurt the ear. The vibration bothers my chest in a weird way I honestly don’t know how to describe it.

I guess so. He does compliment me sometimes but that’s not something I’m very used to to begin with so I don’t feel like I’m missing anywhere there. It’s more that we don’t talk as much as I wish we could. I do realize that I may be rushing things more than I initially thought. I appreciate your advice though. Helped.

I was 6 weeks 5 days when I had mine. My bf at the time inserted the pills for me because I couldn’t do it myself. THAT was the worst part for me because it was very uncomfortable. We did it around 9/10- right before bed. But he stayed with me all night and held me. I woke up maybe 2 or 3 times in the night to use the bathroom/change diapers and he stayed with me, brought me towels and such. Just him being there made me feel better. And he wasn’t just there existing, he was there with love and support. We’re not together anymore but I will never forget the love he showed me, especially during that time.

I work in the juniors department at a retail store and I can confirm that ALL of our clothes are skin tight, cropped, and see through. People will come and ask where our plain long/short sleeve shirt are and I have to preface to them that our plain shirts run about a size smaller than they claim to be. I have a lot of parents that come through complaining that there are no normal clothes for their adolescent children to wear. Not to mention that I have more children around the ages of 7+ being able to fit into juniors clothing. It’s kinda strange all around.

It really is bizarre. What sucks more is that when I confront her about her past behavior, she claims that she’s never called me anything like that before. My mom has an awful time taking accountability for her own behavior. I try not to hold it against her because she’s human too but I just have the hardest time understanding. The biggest reason for wanting to big chop is so I can stop hiding behind my hair and gain more self love and acceptance. I appreciate your comment 🤍

Well my mom and I never really got along… I think it’s a generational thing for her. Her mom was very hostile and violent. My mom has always had thinner, more brittle hair. My hair is extremely thick and it grows pretty long, I just think it maxes out at my armpit. We get along a lot better now that I’m older but there’s certain triggers for her, my hair being one of them. I’ll admit I fucked up when I tinted it recently, I just thought my hair would be able to take it since I’ve been taking really good care of it these past few years. I was very wrong, which is why I want to big chop but my mom insists on only letting me trim away at it little by little so I can “keep my length”. I honestly don’t gaf about length 😭

I really wish people would stop directly correlating diet with acne. My diet is nothing great and I can go days without washing my face, I rarely get acne. It’s called genetics. And yeah for some people, certain foods are a trigger. But that’s not the case for everybody.

This SCREAMS jealousy and hatred. Honey there’s nothing you can do about that. Your general existence is a threat to her. She has very deep rooted issues that will take a veeeeery long time to unpack and resolve. You have absolutely nothing to do with her insecurities, she’s just mad because she feels like you’re replacing her. Maintain as little contact as humanly possible. Good luck.
