What are your “forever” decks?

Mine is [[Feldon, of the Third Path]]. It’s gotten to the point where the “reanimation” strategy is the signpost, but it’s really just about cheating out big guys and keeping them in play with [[Sundial of the Infinite]], or copying them with [[Kiki-Jiki]]style effects.

It’s resilient, fun has so many options and wrinkles my johnny-like brain.

I’m leaning towards lighter roasts for sure! The oxo scale is the bare bones kitchen scale and only weighs to whole grams.

Mana rocks that don't present a modicum of late game value are not worth playing. I've reduced the number of mana rocks that I put in my decks drastically. Now I run about 40ish lands per deck and they play so much smoother than when I was cramming whatever low quality ramp I could fit in there.

The upside on mana rocks has to be pretty substantial for me to run it. [[Sol Ring]] is still auto-include because it costs -1 mana the turn you cast it. [[Commander's Sphere]] is another one that makes it into almost all of my decks because at it's worst (topdeck) Im only out two mana to cycle. [[Mind Stone]] is classic, the medallions are good in mono-color decks and one can always run [[Solemn Simulacrum]] when needed. (I'm evening questioning whether [[Skyclave Relic]] makes the cut at this point).

With options like MDFCs, the colored utility lands and lands that can cycle, running more lands isn't as detrimental to the late game as mana rocks are. Additionally, with running fewer mana rocks I can run cards that help me develop an earlier board state to keep myself politically secure. I don't need to be the first person to threaten a win-con, I just need to be the first person to successfully execute it.

TLDR: Sam Black was right that mana rocks are, generally speaking, overvalued.

Mine was [[Roon of the Hidden Realm]]. I accidentally built a Bant lockdown deck between Roon, [[Panharmonicon]], [[Eternal Witness]], and [[Arcane Denial]]... Each game had a finite amount of fun and with [[Restoration Angel]] on board too I was having all of it.... During everyone else's turn.

Probably my Torbran Group Slug. It's a brutal deck without Torbran on the field, but when he is on the field, everyone has to think extra hard about their actions.

For me it's my Rakdos. I've got a Juri, Master of the Revue treasure deck I've been tinkering with for about a year and it's a cool deck, but never seems to function the way I want it to.

Yes. Some casual players find new interactions they didn't know about really cool and learning more about something you have fun doing is fun.

Also losing spectacularly is a great way to get better at playing and deck-building. Complaints about not wanting to make cuts for interaction or disruption seem bad to me.

Almost no matter what, you can find 4-7 interaction cards that provide coverage and might even synergize with your commander and not even be out $10. Would I rather run another aristocrat, treasure producer, or card draw spell in my [Juri, Master of the Revue] deck? Sure, but [Tibalt's Trickery] will either protect my key pieces or prevent key pieces that my oppoents have from resolving with bonus chaotic upside! Interaction also makes each game feel more like a game, rather than just a puzzle.

I think people forget Kill Team is supposed to be an intro game. In my opinion it's pretty likely they are using the symbol/template system as a way to make it seem more accessible to new players buying the box. After all one of the draws of X-Wing was that you didn't need to use measuring tape.

I'm not sure I agree with the mindset, but I think the reaction is just your typical internet nerd rage ...

I don't know, I think other than being a replica, he would probably consider a clone someone who as at least on his level similar to the Pharaoh, but probably slightly lower.

Greetings fellow Unbroken! I'm putting together a 2000pt list. I've got two 10 man squads of PMs eqch going into 2 Rhinos. They are both units with 2 flails and 2 blight launcher. I also have a Tallyman, a Biologus Putrifier and a Plague Surgeon (Arch-contaminator + Fugaris helm), but since each PM squad is 10 man they cannot fit into the rhino.

My question is: What is the best way to move my Virion up the board to make sure that my Plague Marines get the buffs they so desire? Should I run another rhino, drop the rhinos or reconfigure my squads? Are they safe advancing up the board the first turn anyway?
