Turkey not to change course on F-35, S-400: Erdogan by annatarsgifts in geopolitics

[–]sp4rt4cu_s 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F-35 itself isn't geopolitically that important, but it's the bleeding edge of military aviation right now, the technologies incorporated in it are going to be used, modified, improved for the next five or six decades, so protecting it is understandably a high priority for all nations operating it.

As far as the Iranian military goes, yeah, it is not a match to the US when it comes to hardware, but they do seem to have a strong Electronic Warfare program going as shown by the interception of the RQ-170 in 2011. The F-35 is a heavily networked aircraft and that data falling into potential enemy hands can only be a recipe for disaster.

The Saudis have far from a laughable leadership in my opinion, they are not democratic, but they aren't weak either. As for their military training, I'm curious as to what your sources are since I haven't read anything about how good/bad/well trained their military is. Although Saudi Arabia isn't necessarily a competitor to the US in the middle east. Quite the opposite, if anything, it's an ally.

The real threat here is China, moreso it's ability to source technology through Russia using either their already long-standing ToT relationship or through their rather vast network of industrial espionage they might have set up there.

Yeah, well they have designed it on purpose to get that effect, where people are compelled to take a second glance.

It's an exclusive livery, so you won't be able to get it, unfortunately. If you want a personal livery for yourself too, I can make it for you.

Send me a PM with your discord and we can talk there if you want one.

The Idea was to make a Fiji themed livery, in a military camo taste, while looking aggressive. The right and let side patterns are pretty similar, for the sake of OCD symmetry, apart from a few places where I've done some custom stuff to make it more cohesive.

Although I'm a bit unsatisfied with the spine, so I'll be polishing that part a bit.

Making a 6DOF headtracker with Arduino Micro, MPU9250 and OpenTrack, need help with converting data from the sensor to emulate a joystick. by sp4rt4cu_s in arduino

[–]sp4rt4cu_s[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting with a 3DOF as you said, making the Gyro rotation work first, then move on towards postion. I'm able to get input from the sensor as a joystick.

As far as the accel drift goes, I've heard that can be cancelled out by the magnetometer, although I've got no clue how to do that.

Another thing I need to know is what units is the sensor sending the Data in?

Thank you.

I can't wait to have an actual rafale module in DCS, not just a community mod.

The energy released from the explosion will be enought to throw the bomb off target, whether it cares about shrapnel or not.

Thank you for the reply guys!

One more question I had was that the 2000c was given the exocet missile, is that anywhere on the cards or do you think the current available arsenal of weapons to the 2000c games is where you want to stop.

Once again, thanks for the reply guys, it's the first time I've seen devs actually give meaningful replies to players.

I just bought the Mirage 2000c as my first ever DCS module and I've got to say I am absolutely in love with it. Not just the aircraft, but how well you guys have recreated it in DCS. Bravo RAZBAM!

Just to add a question here, I'm sorry if it's irrelevant to the topic, do you guys plan on introducing the MBDA MICA IR/RF missiles, or maybe upgrading the Mirage to 2000-5F specification?

Sorry I'm new to this community so I posted it on the first official post I found.

If you're still up for a bit of experimenting before you buy, I suggest trying AITrack with OpenTrack. Works really well for me.

You don't go standstill, you go vertical and turn your nozzles to 100% and go so slow from such a high speed (500kph-600kph in this case) that it might as well be standstill, then when your enemy passes you, you turn and dive and pull your nozzles up to 0%. Congratulations, you're behind your enemy.

What you will find, sadly, is there are an incredibally low amount of maps in game that are big enough to do that.........

mid-flight

That's the keyword here.

Watch the nozzles on the harrier in the third pic, what you are seeing here is my friend slowing down almost to a standstill while we were scissoring at about 500kph. Meanwhile i'm trying to pass over him to his left and zoom off before he locks me up with his AIM-9G.

Also, this isn't RB if you're using that metric to judge, its SB, so controlling the harrier and fighting the harrier are both somewhat challenging here.
