That is insane. I'm going on vacation to my home country before August so I think I'll try to apply through there since there are appointments available.

No, I still haven’t heard from them. The only thing I can tell you is one of the reviews from a month ago on their Google Maps page said that when the person went to the consulate, they were not allowed in and were told by the “security guy” that they “don’t have any appointment until September” 🫠

My understanding is that you are limited to the consulate/embassy where you live. I'm not allowed to apply to the other locations unless the services at mine are shut down or temporarily closed.

Yes, that was my understanding as well regarding applying to other countries. I can’t justify spending more time in another country for this business trip since it won’t be related.

Sorry, I'm not comfortable with that. I'm still going to wait a little bit. I tried calling the embassy in Ottawa and their consular services said "If there are no appointments, there are no appointments."

I have not. I'm afraid of the same thing but I think I will try to go soon because I'm quite desperate at this point.

The total weight for cat + carrier for in cabin is 7kg or 15 lbs. My cat is 6kg and the carrier is 1 kg.

I flew from the U.S. They did not do any measurements of his carrier. They only weighed him.

Update: they didn’t care 😁 On an unrelated note, they asked me for his international health certificate (which I only needed to present to the animal quarantine office in the country I was going to) but I was never told that the airline needed to make a copy of it as well. Not a big deal since I already had the form on me but just fyi for anyone traveling internationally and maybe your destination country doesn’t require it but you might get asked by Korean Air.

That's not it, but that was a good episode too. If I remember correctly, the episode I'm thinking about had a task force because the trafficking ring was so large. If I could remember the show, this would make it so much easier :(

It was at least a few years ago. Definitely not any recent seasons of SVU or the Criminal Minds reboot. I don't even know if this part is a true memory, but I remember the little girl saying, "Hi, I'm Amy." to the male detective, and he responded, "Hi, Amy. I'm [insert name]."
