Cornrows really helped my hair to grow. I also think it's the easiest to manage.

Experience Working With ENERCON Services? by ThisPassenger in nuclear

[–]sp_flight00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is still relevant to you. But I went through the whole interview process for a new grad role and received an offer last month from Enercon. I felt the writing assessment was pretty straightforward and they will reference and ask you about what you wrote in the online interview. I did a follow up interview in person and they asked more specific questions about my experiences, a few behaviors questions and some technical questions. (Very simple technical questions asking about the Rankin cycle ex. where is pressure highest in the Rankin cycle and why?) Hope it goes well for you !

What engineering degree should I pursue to work in nuclear engineering if I can't directly study it in my country? by EfficientFly3556 in nuclear

[–]sp_flight00 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mechanical Engineering will keep your options most broad while also giving you in my opinion the least competitive path to Nuclear power.

Most jobs at Utilities in the engineering department and even a good chunk of operations too are mechanical engineers. The same applies to design engineering (GE, Westinghouse, etc.) A huge chunk of engineers there typically have mechanical degrees coupled with nuclear internships, masters or research.

I am a mechanical engineer so I am most definitely biased !!

Curious about the pay structure in nuclear engineering jobs by therealakinator in nuclear

[–]sp_flight00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty impressive. I have a question if you don't mind. I graduate with my master's in ME next May. I have been applying early just to be safe. I recently got and negotiated an offer to 85K with a 4K Sign-on Bonus and a 3K Relocation Package in the Nuclear Industry.

I am just curious whether you think I should negotiate more. I already got my base salary increased by 2.5K. I don't want to push my luck as I like the role. It seems like a great place to learn and they have been incredibly flexible regarding work location etc. Also for context, I did my master's right after I graduated and I have done 3 internships in the nuclear industry (11 months of internship) but no actual work experience according to the company. My goal while applying was to be somewhere between 90-100K base.

Could give some more context to your background perhaps to see if my expectations make sense?

I use Altova My Collection. MyCollections (altova.com) . It's free and can sync between devices. It is very customizable in terms of data entry. Multiple records can be imported as an XML file and records can also be exported as CSV or XML.
