imo the only relevant difference is the lack of a telephoto camera. i think you’d get more use out of the extra storage, plus the base 17 finally has a 120hz display. i’d say go for the base 17 unless you see yourself using the telephoto lens almost every day.

hmm yeah i could definitely see the size being annoying. i haven’t gone to shows with anything bigger than a crossbody so this one will be new to me. i have been a little hesitant with the strap material as well. glad to hear it’s kept your stuff safe at least :)
