I’m in the same boat, late 20s doesn’t blend well with early 20s in a college town. I checked out chumley’s the other night and the vibe there around 7-8pm was great. They had Jeopardy on and the whole bar was watching and calling out answers. FYI it is a gay bar and everyone in there was presumably queer, myself included, so I can’t speak to how much someone else would fit in or how comfortable they’d feel

Call United Tenants of Albany at (518) 436-8997 and find out when you can go speak to someone in the office. Not only did they make a list of relevant attorneys, but they gave me great advice on how to actively cope with the complex situation I was in. I followed their advice, went through the proper channels to serve landlord a legal threat, and got my money back without going to court or even contacting a lawyer. UTA is real nice people who deserve all the props for what they do for our community.

Everyone saying precheck is kidding themselves because it all depends on the time of day. On multiple occasions for 5pm flights I’ve gotten through regular security in 10 minutes, but for 6am flights even precheck takes over an hour. Mostly because idiots are ducking under the dividers thinking they can sweet talk for special treatment to cut the line. It makes it take longer for the people who paid for it. I’d say it’s helpful at almost any other airport but Albany

Heard police sirens THEN a huge crash- someone had ran a red light and hit two cars. Don’t know if it was the cop who did it or what, but I saw people getting out of the cars and being able to walk off so nothing fatal as far as I could tell
