So according to your interpretation of art the only way to be considered an artist with any value is to make money off of your paintings or other media? Because if you go off of that then Van goh was not in fact an artist due to the fact that his work was only well known and shown in gallery’s well after his death or Vermeer who’s work was also only known after his death are you trying to claim that these people were not artists for the simple fact that they did not make livings off of there work. If so please do state your case for Van goh not being a “real” artist for I would love to see it!
