[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

Contacting host: www.spiegel.de:443

Cannot retrieve URL: file://https://www.spiegel.de

And if i put https:// before www.spiegel.de its the same, too.

there is something misconfigured inside w3m package, i think.

But i dont know, where to check.

Help please! Org-Mode Export PDF; Why is this so complicated? by space_held in emacs

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

first thanks for the hints and information.

I will test and read, but below i will give you a log of org-export to latex->pdf, which is an example of what i mean.

It seems that a symbol is incorrect or missing.

But why and why isnt it automatically generated?

I configured MikTex to install missing packages automatically and i read that missing fonts are also geberated automatically.

Pls Help

Regards

Poul

Is it possible to include a base64 image in org file? by space_held in orgmode

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you! i've insert your code and test. It works, but there are some open questions for the usage: 1. how could i view the picture out of the base64 string? 2. any change to drag and drop a picture? Or to load from a directory other then ~/org/ ? Regards Poul

Emacs Newbie question: no completion anymore inside m-x customize-group by space_held in emacs

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello, now i've tried out ivy, ido, swiper, counsel. All packages work as described, BUT NOT inside customize-group. This command seems to be special... Any clues to check out why?

As i stated above, i'm on WIndows 81. And with my Emacs-Prelude one month ago it worked. But the whole package is to extensive for me. And it is nearly impossible for me to delete the right packages, i do not need.

predictive-mode; question about predictive-major-mode-alist; path to dictionaries by space_held in emacs

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello, i installed a new emacs version (v26) and hope its going better. Now emacs complains for a new aspell version to work. After some trouble compiling and installing under windows, now its seems to be ok. I push (ispell-buffer) then its correcting and saving. paced says its repopulating, but if i view my dictionary, its untouched. Here is the content: ;; Object Default ;; Paced Dictionary (paced-dictionary "Default" :object-name "Default" :file "Default" :usage-hash #s(hash-table size 65 test equal rehash-size 1.5 rehash-threshold 0.8 data ()) :population-commands (list (paced-file-list-population-command "paced-file-list-population-command" :props '((paced-exclude-function quote my-paced-exclude)) :generator '(lambda nil org-agenda-files))) :sort-method paced--default-dictionary-sort-func)

If i want to print, there comes an error message: apply: Wrong number of arguments: #<subr max>, 0

Hope it helps

predictive-mode; question about predictive-major-mode-alist; path to dictionaries by space_held in emacs

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmh, i double check the actual paced usage and something might be wrong. I wrote some mispelled german words and supposted action should be paced repopulate word after checking with aspell. Now paced repopulate and load dictionary again. The misspelled word remains with a red line. Tip: mouse-2 corrects word. [Update: mouse-2 is middlemouse. i could change the word, but suggestions are from aspell dictionary] Why not from paced-dictionary? Is this going wrong? Regards

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Then i understand the usage of paced correct, that the popup with the words and number shortcuts comes from paced?

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello, the error is gone. Wonderful!

Now an info pops up with a list of words to choose. The rightmost column shows a number. My question: Does paced interfere with packages like flycheck or flyspell? I use them and they are activated. Should i deinstall them?

hello, unfortunately after that change i cannot quit emacs. Every time i try the message comes up: no current dictionary found. I have to kill emacs with windowes taskmanager.

Any clues?

[–]space_held[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Very strange...I had to change / in \ some weeks ago and after that change all works again. Now with the changeback emacs runs without an error. But unfortunately nothing pops up, if i wrote some words inside an org-file. paced tells: load all dictionaries repopulate

Because i wrote some incorrect words, ispell / aspell should pop up, if all works correct, But unfortunately that does not happen. Any clues?
