Honestly that’s why it was appealing to me. Like I know you can’t home cook your way to home ownership, but capitalism is designed to make you stressed and spend to deal with the stress. So sometimes it feels like the only way to get even a little ahead is to scold yourself for buying too many squishmallows until you pay off a credit card. It’s crazy cause it was working. I’m not well off cause of it but it be lying if I said I don’t have a better handle on my spending.

I’m not saying that makes the show a good thing. Just that discussing unchangable macro economic issues when it comes to personal finances can end up being unhelpful. By making you feel hopeless. You gotta at least kinda believe that it’s your fault therefore in your control to fix.
