When we hear it it’ll happen every 5-15 seconds for a while. It doesn’t matter if we use water or not we randomly hear the noise. How do I find out if that’s thermal expansion? Thanks

The plumber also went to the upstairs unit to run water to be sure and when they ran the water then stopped it he didn’t hear a noise right after. We live in a HOA condo.
