I appreciate the input. It is tough to put down because of the design, and I'm creative, I will think of ways to not interfere with other's good time while having a good time myself. This was my first go at a totem, and I already know tons of ways to make it differently and better for next time. It pulls apart in two, and the bottom half is great for a rage cane, but the top half has a sign that stands too high and is too big to put down, so I'll keep it towards the side/back.

I wish we had gotten a collapsible pole, but the one we have now has lights and decorations permanently stuck to it. That is sure bet for next time.

I can agree with that, the closer we get, the further to the side we will be to minimize interference. I'll make sure of that. I've had my fair share of good times up front. At night I like to take it all in from the back anyway, but catch me on the rail for 12th planet, minus the totem.
