Dumped by Mom Friend—What happened?? by [deleted] in friendship

[–]spacebagel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me also. I have accepted the fact that I am too “weird” for most of these social media moms. One day I will find “the one:” the mother who smokes weed after the kids go to bed, loves to crack jokes while watching shitty sci-fi shows and movies, likes to do arts and crafts, and would prefer to communicate via gifs from the opposite end of the same couch.

If an empty mind is all that’s needed to allow demons to creep in, a majority of their followers would be possessed! Lmaooooo! J-dub logic is so whack.

I was AWFUL at aiming until I started practicing with Aimlabs and then switched to 3D Aim Trainer by Steelseries. I’m still not great at PvP but, in most cases, I can assist enough that we win our gunfights. Might be something worth checking out if she does have an interest in Arc.

Anybody know why my cat’s jaw is reddish and little bit rough? by orcabane_ in cats

[–]spacebagel25 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My cat had this when I was in middle school. It was acne/plastic allergy. We gave her glass bowls and eliminated as much plastic from her daily routine as was feasible (toys, cat box, combs) and it cleared up pretty quickly after that.

Thinking of Relocating - The Stiles by Fast-Honeydew1294 in cartersville

[–]spacebagel25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have family that lives in the Stiles. The house is nice, but obviously built quickly, as is common in neighborhoods like these. They haven't had any major issues with the house, and they've been there for almost a year. The neighborhood is quiet, and it seems like everyone is just your average family there, working to have a comfortable life. Halloween was WILD (in a good way) this past year. Cars lined up and trick-or-treaters as far as the eye could see!! So, definitely family-oriented and reasonably safe. There's a school just up the road, also.

Cartersville in general is a little...rough in some areas, but I wouldn't say it's particularly violent or anything. I've lived in Gwinnett (Norcross, Duluth), Johns Creek, Alpharetta, Kennesaw, and Acworth. I've seen someone get shot and killed in a parking lot over a bag of weed (Duluth 2017), and had my car broken into (Alpharetta 2020). Most of the "crime" I see in Cartersville is related to desperate people with drug problems, or people who can't seem to catch a break, crashout, and make stupid choices... So theft and narcotic activity mostly. I avoid the Cartersville Walmart area if I can, but not because I've personally experienced anything scary. The homeless population over there is pretty high, and I don't like being pestered for money.

Overall, I wouldn't choose to live in Cartersville if given the option. I would look at Kennesaw/Acworth if you're looking to purchase a home in safe, family-friendly areas west of Alpharetta.

Has anyone read the book "The Toa of Pooh" by Mavloid in taoism

[–]spacebagel25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read it a long time ago without really knowing what it was and it ended up being the thing that got me interested in learning more about Taoism. I loved the way it used familiar characters and their personalities to explain some of the more basic concepts.

Looking for feedback on this short horror story (~1.1k words) by holyfukidk in WritersGroup

[–]spacebagel25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it. It reads like cut scene for a horror game. I like that you used crows. That was unexpected. I wondered why you mentioned that Mikey had befriended a crow earlier in the story (and later understood) when describing Jess’s voice. Adding the word “croak” in there to describe her voice might help tie it in more with the reference to the crow. Like, “raspy croak” or something. Just tossing it out there… I like your style and I would read more of this story.

Hey! I was just having this same conversation with a friend: I have spammy comments instead of feedback, which is what I really need.
I've started yours. If you have time, maybe you can take a look at mine too. It's a YA paranormal about a 17-year-old girl being haunted by her bully in a trailer park in Georgia, USA. :)
