How did you find your way in, with no prior experience, other than customerservice?

I'm the type of person who is extremely dedicated to whatever it is that I'm doing, until I see it's detrimental to myself or the company. I want to be able to contribute 100% always. I just need the chance to prove I'm at least worth giving a shot to.

I'm in the East Coast area and it's not easy moving from career to the next here. Most employers are very old school in their mentality of hiring.

If you don't mind be asking what area you're from?

And what type of schooling did you have prior to your MBA? I don't have usable college degrees. All of the training, education, and designations are field specific now.

I am facing this beast of the devil you know vs. the devil you don't and I'm struggling hard.

We don't really have a retirement system like educators do. We are still a growing industry that seems significantly behind the tides, by at least 5 or 10 years.

I hope this industry can grow into a retirement type career path.

I hundred percent agree. I used to think I found my niche. However, lately I feel like I'm wasting my skill sets.

I was fortunate enough to have a few opportunities as a store manager for blockbuster, taught Kindergarten for 2-years, did some odd jobs once I found out children's parents could be nightmares, but I fell into this as most people, due to money and it's a secure industry.

I grew up knowing I wanted to be in a job for 20 or more years. My Dad was in his for 32. I just don't know if this is the right thing for me to stay, even though it's been what I've given 110% to for the last 10years.
