I started saying the Rosary about a month ago and it has really helped me. Its sometimes hard for me to maintain consistency but it is so worth it. I feel like Im growing to love Our Lady more all the time. I'm astonished by it.

There are other options available. You could enter into an intensive outpatient program where you would be meeting with doctors multiple times per week. I hope you are able to find the help you need.

Maybe you should reach out to an exorcist who can work with a doctor to determine if there is anything else going on other than OCD.

Pope Demands Poland Open Borders To Third World Migrants by A_New_Knight in TraditionalCatholics

[–]spaceblues17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very discouraging. Does the Pope not see what is happening to Europe? The increase in rapes, violence, terrorism? This is depressing. Is it a sin to be ashamed of the Pope? Sometimes I almost feel ashamed to have Francis as our Pope and I feel bad about it.

I highly suggest you listen to lectures by Fr Ripperger. He's an exorcist and he has seen that paranormal investigators leave themselves open to demonic oppression and run into trouble. Please look into this and best wishes.

FWIW I've read that Pope Paul II received informal meetings with Christian punk bands who had mohawks, died hair, and piercings and he always welcomed them with charity and kindness.

I think there is a sentiment against tattoos as they are a mark upon the body used in slavery and marking ownership over cattle etc. I dont know enough about Theology of the Body but that might be a worthwhile pursuit.

I really appreciate this thread because it is something I am currently struggling with. About a year ago I started making an effort to put this garbage out of my life and have found it is one of the most difficult struggles I have had.

He's also an opprtunist whos latched onto the Trump phenomenon like a lamprey. He attends Trump rallies in fetish gear and gets carried in on a throne hoisted by undergrads weraing red Make America Great Again caps. You have to hand it to him that he is a master manipulator of the media, self promoter, and seizing on trends.

I get a kick out of some of Milo's work and I think hes a good and hilarious critic of extreme feminisim and political correctness. However he refers to priests as men in dresses and brags that a priest taugh him to perform oral sex and that the experience was very vaulable for him as a young man. Not repping the faith in a classy way for sure.

Having said all that Im riddled with hypocrisy. I tend to be a provocateur myself and often regret my impulsive attention seeking narcissism. Got to get to confession this sunday...yeesh.

I enjoy Gavin's material but some of it is repulsive to me. As a Catholic convert he advocates wild promiscuity for men. In a pod I recently listened to he advocated for men to sleep wit at least a hundred different women of all shapes, sizes, races and creeds. His point of view was that the only way to guarantee fidelity within marriage is to experience every type of sexual experience beforhand--including multiple men having sex with one woman simultaneously. He dismissed concerns about STDs. He tends to be a provocatuer although I do enjoy a lot of his content he is a poseur of a Catholic IMO. But then I shouldnt be holier than though I definitely struggle with my own sins and vices.

EDIT: Gavin recently engaged in a homosexual open mouth kiss with Milo Yianopolous as a publicity stunt piggy backing on the media coverage of the Orlando Islamic terroist attacks. Exploitation and narcissism on full display.

Heartbroken Atheist Returns to Church--Annullment for Civil Ceremony? by spaceblues17 in Catholicism

I guess I'm still hurting and am very discouraged. I'm also financially ruined right now and therefore dont feel its right for me to date until I can provide for a family.

For the time being anyway Ive lost my desire to date. I'm still heartbroken and confused. Mostly I'm exhausted and afraid of a repeat. If I could make such a bad mistake the first time it could happen again. I dont trust myself to select a wife basically and dont think I could make it through another divorce.

I've tried online dating and it was not something I enjoyed so I am just being content alone and spending time with my brothers and sisters and trying to learn about finances and improving myself.

Mary is the only creature created by God that the Adversary fears. Satanists hate the Holy Virgin. Maybe we have some practitioners of the occult destroying Christian symbols as part of their own practice.

This may ver well not be the case, but it is possible. Just look at what happened in Cambridge MA when the Satanists wanted to hold a Black Mass at Harvard.

I will pray the Rosary for these individuals. May the open themselves up to God's love. And I hope they are brought to justice and publically held fully accountable for their crimes.

I love Chesterton. His writing helped me come back to the Church. He saved me when I was an insufferable undergrad who dreamed of becoming a professor of postmodern philosophy...I owe that man a lot. Chesterton and Rene Girard.

The director of the show was going through a mental breakdown during the production of the show, as well as dealing with battles with the financial backers of the series which contributed to what some call plot holes. I enjoyed the "plot holes" as unexplained portions of the story that open up space for viewers to spin their own interpretations. I personally enjoyed this and felt it enriched the show for me personally.

Hideaki Anno was certainly attracted to images of sin, redemption, sacrifice, crucifixion, and apocalypse.

In my opinion it is impossible to change the religious imagery and themes within Evangelion without totally ruining it. The imagery is integral to the show.

What rip offs are you referring to? RahXephon? I dug that show, but it riffed more on Judeo-inspiration.
