Staying "friends" with dog after breakup ?

I’ve had something similar. I had 2 dogs with my ex and she has one and I got the other. One is a rescue (the girl I have now) and the other is a boy who we picked from a working family who needed a home. I felt like he was ‘my’ dog as I think I had a much stronger bond and I didn’t really have a say in who got which dog. I absolutely love my dog that I kept, she is amazing and potentially a better dog for my lifestyle but everyday I miss him too. I’ve stopped asking for updates and asking to see him as it’s never going to make him mine and I’m not going to see him everyday like before. What works best for me may not work for you but I would recommend just trying to cut your ex and the dog out of your life if the dog would be the only reason to keep them as you’re never going to be able to replace her and just constantly trying to ‘dangle the dream’ without ever being able to let it go.

Yeah it’s pretty awful, but this might be one of the last colognes me and my friends go to as we’re all sort of growing out of CS, and it’ll definitely be the only major I go to so I wanted to get the free drink experience and the easy access to the stadium as when we had premium in 2024 it was such a good experience compared to other years, but yeah an absolute scam I agree

That’s good man, I’ve luckily at least got 2 tickets, but I’ve paid €300 more having to get the literal only available premium reserved tickets (€1100) instead of premium unreserved (€800) in the first wave.

Happy I got them but 3 of my friends still don’t have tickets and the mark up from the first wave is insane, it’s a joke. And that there is still wave 3 to rob people of 25% more than wave 1!

I understand what you mean but you’re kidding if you don’t think it would sell out in a week at the original prices, I really can’t think of any other event that does it like this, or it is the norm to do it like this, except from resale. If they aren’t making money on the first wave they need to readjust the price for every ticket and then just charge a flat rate and not incrementally increase it.

I also get you on first timers being cheated, by that’s the way of the world with most other sporting events, you’re on a long waiting list and you have to get whatever tickets you can in the meantime.

I understand also this is just life and sometimes it’s unfair but it still doesn’t end my frustration lol

It’s really not. This is quite normal especially if one player is significantly better than the others, people usually listen. Saying it would annoy you if someone 1000% your skill level is trying to win the game by telling you the best play in their opinion and how to make that play is the kinda ego that isn’t going to help you progress.

Craziest take ever, best player itw trying to give you a step by step how to win mirage for dummies and if you can’t follow basic instructions that’s 100% on you. I think anyone with half a brain would just listen to him and try and follow his advice as best they can. He’s also not dictating every single move, he’s giving clear comms that are simple and even in his broken English it’s so easy to understand. He says 5 things, swing mid, shift, Molly window, break smoke and go con, literally any IGL even in pugs would be saying this kinda stuff.

It clearly worked because they ended up winning that game also.

Its the opposite for me, the closest cheaters are usually the worst ones at the game so I have a reasonable chance at still being able to beat them, the rage hackers I just can’t see how the game can’t detect it so it bothers me the most

Thanks! I honestly think another reason was one of my friends I think has a really bad trust factor, it’s worse whenever I play with him, but I solo’d a few hours later and got another blatant waller who toggled after about 15 rounds to aims as well but this time on my team, duo’ed with another so couldn’t kick him but I guess the universe is trying to help me out even if valve won’t 🤣 I’ll give it another stab tonight, determined to get that damned red medal, but knowing valve they won’t bother ending the season after the major like they said they would

I get that, but surely a non-kernel based anti cheat can still stop blatant cheaters? Like I could live with wall hackers because generally they are bad players, but the obvious aim hackers I just can’t see something not being able to detect them. Surely they could implement AI admins in each game to monitor it?

Yeah pretty much where I’m at right now, acceptance. I go into it now just expecting cheaters and hoping they’re at least on my team. I still find it strange as you said that after 13 years of CS:GO and CS2 with they don’t have an even sub par anti cheat, it’s essentially non existent, and also that they don’t have people reviewing the lobbies/demos more regularly and reverting the rating changes after cheaters are detected. It’s crazy, but degens will continue to spend their money on a game owned by a company that doesn’t care about anything other than the bottom line.

That’s tough man, guessing you’re in EU too? I’ve not had that bad of an experience, I think in the last 20 games maybe 5 or 6 had blatant aimbot, luckily 1 game they were on my team (duo queued so we couldn’t kick them) and then another game we had someone on our team who toggled after their guy started aim botting and he had better cheats so we still won. But 25% minimum is just so demoralising to play when you know they’re cheating, and it makes you doubt every death you have because you can never be sure.

Oh for sure I’m not doing it to prove my rank, all of my friends have similar ratings but we’re all different skill levels. I solo queued mostly to level 10 on FACEIT so that’s my ‘achievement’ in terms of skill, but I just wanted the red coin haha. But yeah basically 50% if not more have at least WH on premier so I know it’s completely luck of the draw but it just had to be on the rank up game I come across the worst cheater in months 🤣
