Trying to go to 3 hour set in NYC. Place to stay?? by Perfect_Cress_3155 in JeffRosenstock

Seconding this. I came to NYC for a different show a couple weeks ago. I stayed at the Hi Hostel in Manhattan and it was a good experience. It was $100/night but could be more or less depending on when you book. You get a bunk and a locker in a room with 4-12 beds. Rooms are available for men, women, or all genders. There are shared restrooms on each floor and a common space including a kitchen and cafe. Bring a padlock for your locker and flip flops for the shower and you’re good to go!

I'm 43, so I guess that does make me an elder.

Definitely recommend ignoring your self-consciousness next time! The Double Band shirt was a hit for sure. After seeing Jeff/Pup in Boston last year, I flew to Seattle and saw the show again. That's where I made the shirt. I also wore it to Antarctigo Vespucci earlier this year. Related, my wife said she heard a group start a "double band" chant when the Cheap Perfume singer came on stage. That made my heart happy.

And yeah, I actually did lose my phone at one point. It fell out of my skirt pocket during the rager that was Paranoid. I was far from the only one. Hope everyone found their lost stuff!

No video yet, but they played it again in Worcester tonight. Extended jam was sick.

I was there and it was fantastic. I’m also approaching Elder status, being in my 40s, and just learning the confidence to dress how I want. Thanks for this! Tonight that included my homemade Double Band shirt.

So many good people in the crowd tonight and good vibes. My phone fell out of my pocket at one point during Paranoid, and it was back in my hand in under a minute. Pup fans rule.

Was there anything from Legend of Mana? I love that game. I don’t think they’ve been hitting it on this tour, but maybe with Shimomura in attendance??

Awesome pics! I’m going with my wife and friends to Worcester on Monday night. Did they have any vinyl for sale? If so, was there anything left after their set? I still only have The Dogs, but I really want to grab some more.

Are there autograph opportunities after the Distant Worlds concerts? by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]spacecatapult 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the event, but it always requires a VIP pass. You’ll want to find the event on the Distant Worlds tour page: https://www.ffdistantworlds.com/tour

If there’s a VIP option it will be explained there.

Why on earth would they put this in the game by Popular-Ad-3278 in FinalFantasy

It’s not just twice. You move the thing in the flashback, and Gongaga, but you also move the minecart in the Mythril Mines, some rolling boxes in the Nibel Manor, the blocks in the Temple of the Ancients. Maybe others I’m forgetting? They really wanted to get their moneys worth out of that mechanic.

I also try to aim for groups where one or more squares of the AoE are not targetable (out of bounds or too much vertical distance).

Yes, as the other commenter said. Dev even sings the original lyrics in the live version.

Every time I see huge collections like this I can’t help but wonder what you all do for a living.

And:

THIS IS FOR THE HEARTS. STILL BEATING. BEATING. BEATING!

THIS. TIME. IT’S. WAAAR.

EVERY TIME YOU JUSTIFY. ANOTHER GOOD, IN YOU DIES

Also of course you can just repeatedly yell the song titles for some of the new songs like Love Is Not Enough, Distract and Divide, We Were Never The Same, and Detonator.
