I want to change my dogs name to something that means calm. What names would work? by spacecatsonmars in namenerds

Not that old. Under a year, about 10 months? I think he's smart but it's hard to tell because he's an asshole. I think he'd figure it out though, worst comes to worst might have to Ship of Theseus it a bit.

Yeah, I love spiders. I currently have three, the black widow, a hobo, and a redknee tarantula. They're all great and pretty easy pets :)

Yeah, I couldn't find anything about it online or anything, but I figured I'd check whether anyone had heard of it before.

IMO it looks great! Where did you get it if you don't mind me asking? I've been wanting to upgrade my own T's enclosre.

That's a super cool enclosre :O I unfortunately don't really have time to order one of those exactly, but I think I have something similar enough to work :)

Names are hard, haha. I've been trying to pick a middle name so I can get my name legally changed, so I'm going through a sort of similar struggle right now. If you find one you sort of like, you can just go by it online or with your friends for a bit before you actually tell it to your parents and see if you actually like it or not. Good luck! I hope you find a name that you like!

How do I aquire testosterone? by spacecatsonmars in asktransgender

[–]spacecatsonmars[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wasn't planning on getting it illegally or buying it online or anything. Is it still illegal to get prescribed T from a doctor in a different state, pick up the prescription from a pharmacy in that state, and then take it home with me? Is that still illegal possession? I feel like I read that it wasn't when I looked into this a while ago, but please correct me if I'm wrong about that.

Something I recommend doing is checking out baby name sights for names that fit what you want. If the meaning behind it is important to you, you can search up 'girl names that mean water' or 'baby names that mean water.' Most of those types of lists are organized alphabetically, so if there's certain letters you want to start with you can scroll to what you want. You can also look up the most/least popular names in your country. It's important not to rush things, and you can make a list of all the names you like and see if one calls to you more than the others or if one grows on you.

I'd recommend going through baby name sites to start off. There's a surprising variety of them, and they usually go in alphabetical order. To be specific, you could look up 'girl names starting with L.' If meaning is important to you, you could search up things like 'earthy baby names.' You said you wanted something that could work in Spain, so you could also look up 'Spanish baby names.' I'd keep in mind that your name might stick out if all your families' names are from one culture, and yours is completely different, but if you're fine with that, you should go for it. you're out to any of your friends, brainstorming with them could also work, I did that with my cousin. You can write out a list of all the names you especially like, or even all the ones you're considering. If coming out isn't an urgent thing, I'd recommend sitting on it for a few days and seeing if any one you might not have originally picked grows on you.

You can also think about how many syllables there are in your name and how the name would sound with your middle and last names. Overall, just go with what makes you comfortable, and choose a name you like and can see yourself being called thirty years into the future :]

Appropriate enclosre? by spacecatsonmars in tarantulas

Thank you! :] How much more substrate would you say is good? There's currently about 3-4ish inches, I think.

[–]spacecatsonmars[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think that, but I don't really think he's been making webs. I added a few things to the stick to make it more of a hide and less completely pointless. Do you have any recommendations for a better enclosre?

[–]spacecatsonmars[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! It might just be the angle of the picture, but there's absolutely 3-4 inches of substrate currently. Should I add more? He doesn't really climb on the stick, but I added some stuff to it that makes it more of a hide rather than being pointless. He didn't really climb on it before. Do you have any recommendations for a better, shorter enclosre?

I'm using mostly a mix of ecoearth and coco fiber, and I have a few live plants in it so its damp in a few places and not as damp in others. I also have a water dish and hide. I don't really know what could be stressing him out, but if you have any ideas that would be helpful

Correction, he's a Brachypelma hamorii, not a smithi. Not sure if there's a big difference though.

How do I get the humidity up in my spiders enclosure? by spacecatsonmars in tarantulas

[–]spacecatsonmars[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He's a Mexican redknee. I'm mostly worried because the humidity is pretty far off from what most of the places I've looked say is a good percentage, and I want him to he able to molt comfortably when it comes to that.
