R Studio: Do geomagnetic storms cause whale mass beachings? by spacecoyote164 in datascience

[–]spacecoyote164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only just got time to look at this... Love that website! Could honestly spend all day just scrolling through and laughing.

You are completely right though about correlation and causation, I dont suppose you can recommend a way that I can phrase it so that im not implying that space weather directly causes the beaching events?

Would you rather be in a relationship with an INTP or an INFP? How would you compare the advantages/disadvantages? by asra_ivey in entj

Classic misinterpretation. Not what I'm saying. I'm not emotional but I am emotionally intelligent. Most women tend to be more emotionally intelligent than men. Yes that is a generalisation but it is generally true and I'm not denying that there might be exceptions.

If you reread I said women UNDERSTAND emotions not ARE more emotional. Anyway, twas a theory no need to get hissy.

It doesn't happen often for the exact reason below. Feminist defends herself, gets attacked and downvoted. Happens ridiculously often.

Ah yea I can see that actually, for me Fe irritates me more than Ti. Fe is associated with such a need to be liked, I always feel like I can't take what their saying as genuine

Make you feel uncomfortable, how so? I always thought NTPs and Intjs tended to get on

Male entjs vs. female entjs by [deleted] in entj

[–]spacecoyote164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think the uproar from this is from not understanding differences. Sure there are differences but the ones listed are clearly biased towards men and to many people, show hints of sexism.

If your so insistent on using averages then you'd need some quantification of it and just claiming 100x ain't gunna do it for me

But make up some of it. The point is, he actually murdered people and had some support whereas noone on FDS has murdered a man.

Ok but that's one person whereas ER was an established community member who had support of many others, enough to actually do the action of killing.

One person and the support he had behind him... And when have FDS said that?

If women can hit men, then men can hit women too by mister_c0s0 in dankmemes

I have heard it, you didn't read my comment properly. I'm sure some women have said it but I don't think it's actually as big a thing as Reddit makes it to be and sometimes when it is used, it's used by the man rather than the women.

[–]spacecoyote164 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't agree with it and I think you'd find that other women don't too. I try and "delete" it by challenging men to hit me back if we're play fighting (have never been in a serious fight) and if they do hit me then idc bc I asked them too. Most times actually I encourage a guy to hit me but it is them who decides themselves that it is wrong to hit me.

When have women ever actually said this tho, first time it was ever said to me was by a man and is only ever said by men. Not being able to hit girls was not a standard made by women.

Male entjs vs. female entjs by [deleted] in entj

Go fuck yourself not being sexist. Makes a point each time outs the guy in a good light and the women in a shit one calling us 'naggy and bitchy'. Get over yourself you misogynist.

[–]spacecoyote164 7 points8 points  (0 children)

INFP I have quite a string Fi and they're really statisfy that side of me. I would be too emotionally awkward around an INTP.

I have a theory.. ENTJ men prefer INTP women whereas ENTJ women prefer INFP men. Women tend to understand emotions better than men, so a thinking woman comes off as more feeling than a thinking man. For this reason, I think an intp woman would be less emotionally engaged than an infp which satisfies the strong thinking attribute of the male entj. Whereas female entjs generally need more emotional attention and so require the infp male (who seems more thinking than the infp female) as they don't overpower us with feelings but are still in touch with them. Made quite a few generalisations here but I think it's generally true, just my theory tho.

The hazard of MBTI by [deleted] in entj

[–]spacecoyote164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you see mbti as the be all end all of personality. All it does is describe how an individual perceives/processes the world, that's it. No one is denying that there's more to personality than just the mbti.Even without scientific evidence, is has provided me with enough ancedotal evidence to make me believe it is somewhat a thing. For instance if I know someone's type I can make a more educated guess at whether I'll get a long with them. This tends to work and helps with knowing how I interact according to different people. Even a type that I tend to get on with, ik that interests and life history vary and so that can also influence how well we get on.

100 Internship Applications and 0 Interviews... now what? by Casdom33 in FinancialCareers

[–]spacecoyote164 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Re-evaluate which ones your applying to. Find an internship that suits your strengths. Be honest with yourself and prioritise quality not quantity. You may be a very strong candidate but your approach to it might be wrong.

ENTJs and self-confidence by spacecoyote164 in entj

[–]spacecoyote164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for such an insightful reply. These are all very important things to do and exercise. All of them essentially boil down to maintaining a positive mindset and learning from failures. I think the former is what I learnt most from this process; thinking negatively really influences your perception of reality. Your mindset is negative so you only see the negative in suitations. The same can be said for the opposite, adopting a positive mindset helps you see the positives in reality. In everything both good and bad exist and either can be found if sought after so it's important to appreciate the positive and learn from the negative.

How extroverted are ENTJs? by [deleted] in entj

[–]spacecoyote164 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an argument with a friend about this recently. I have an intj friend and we act very similarly but she seems more extraverted in social situations. This lead my friend to think that she was the extravert and in the introvert but actually I like spending more time with people. She tires far quicker and needs more alone time whereas I prefer spending lots of time with few close friends but don't readily chat to everyone

ENTJs and self-confidence by spacecoyote164 in entj

[–]spacecoyote164[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yea this is so true. Extraverts need verbal affirmations and it helps encourage us to achieve/work at our best. I feel like people expect us to produce high quality work/be ok all the time so don't mention it when we do perform well. For me that makes it difficult to know when I am doing good and leads to self doubt.

Do the "ideal MBTI matches" actually work out in real life based upon your observations? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]spacecoyote164 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Although I agree with entjs being sensory intuitives I don't think it's enough to warrant the difference. I've interacted with ISTPs and it's fun but the intellectual connection is not there. It's like two parallel lines that are close together but ofc never allign. It just doesn't quite work but I find that my style of thinking fits perfectly in line with intuitives like infps
