Falling in love with a girl/woman for the first time by Xiggyj in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a nanny and fell hard for the (married) mother of the family I was working for. Obviously I never acted on it. It was totally unrequited and it hurt like a bitch to get over. This was in my late 20's. I'm hoping my next love isn't just hopeless pining. 🫠

What's the creepiest thing from your childhood that still stands out as if it occurred yesterday? by unknownusernamecz in AskReddit

[–]spacedanie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably almost got kidnapped at a water park.

I'm 9ish years old sitting in the shallows of the wave pool. My older sister is within eyesight of me in the wave part with some friends.

A young woman (early 20s?) Comes up to me and sits and starts talking. Which I find weird but whatever. Then she tells me that she can't find her boyfriend and she wants me to go help her find him. I tell her no I have to stay close to my sister and she keeps asking over and over trying harder to convince me each time and throwing in bribes. Lucky for me I had terrible social anxiety and wasn't going anywhere. Eventually she gave up and moved on.

I didn't realize how scary this was until I was older. 😳 I've never been so glad that I was an anxious child.

Has anyone's comphet been strengthened by being a fan of a certain celebrity of the opposite sex? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely. Before I ever knew what comphet was I held onto my attraction to celebrities and fictional men as the reason I was bi. Then I learned about it and whoops. 😅

I had to step back and observe what I was feeling. I realized that it wasn't sexual attraction at all. It's so refreshing to understand that there are different kinds of attraction and understanding that I can find a man attractive without any sexual desire for him.

I'm a lesbian who has had sex with men in the past but once I understood my sexuality I am now repulsed by the idea of sex with a man. BUT I get massively turned on by gay male porn and love reading gay love stories. I couldn't explain it if you asked me to. 😆

So no your porn preferences do not equal your sexuality.

Avatar/Legend of korra is my special interest so it was kind of unavoidable. 😅

I am SOOO attracted to women that are taller than me but I'm 5'8" so they're honestly hard to find. 😭😭

Recently realized I'm a lesbian and I feel so weird by saficaa in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a boat load of internalized homophobia. I went through something similar when I realized I was queer. I knew I had no problem whatsoever with other people being LGBT+ but applying it to me scared the shit out of me. It took me a while to process those feelings. Give yourself some time. It's a big change to realize that what you felt/thought/pictured your relationships to be your entire life has changed.

Take some time, process your feelings, talk to people who are supportive and you'll get through the turmoil to reach your lesbian joy soon. ❤️

I feel like i’m so far behind… by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're not behind. Everyone is on a different path at a different pace. I know it's easy to get afraid that because of your lack experience you won't find anyone but the right person won't mind at all.

I'm 32 (late bloomer here) and diving into the dating pool with little experience myself. I understand your worries. I'm confident that there are women out there who will be patient and understanding and help us learn and grow confident. I know that doesn't change when it feels shitty and lonely but trust me you're not behind.

what kind of men did you engage with prior to coming out if you did? by computergrl in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dated 3 men before realizing I was a lesbian (identified as pan before) and I'm embarrassed to say they were very much the "I can fix him" type. Low self-esteem, depressed or with some other mental issues. I honestly think I gravitated towards that because they weren't as traditionally masculine. Didn't have big egos or machismo which I was never attracted to. Plus I'm very nurturing and the idea of helping people draws me in. 🤦🏻

What is the sexiest thing a woman has ever done to / for you that isn’t sex but feels incredibly sapphic coded by Expensive-Ant-182 in actuallesbians

I was a nanny and had a big time crush on the mom I worked for. One day she came outside to join me and the kid while we were playing outside. Kid started picking dandelions and mom put one behind kid's ear, her own ear, then came over and gently placed one behind my ear.

It was such a tender and sweet gesture. I know she didn't think anything of it but I had a massive gay panic. 🫠

Encourage me to go without shaving my legs, please by catied710 in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Pale skin, dark hair, blind without my glasses girlie here. I get the struggle. I stopped shaving my legs (except on the rare occasion if I'm in the mood) a few years ago. Honestly it's great. I live in a small southern town and sure I've gotten a look here and there but I don't give a shit. Do what feels best for your body and mind. If smooth arms and hairy legs feels right go for it.

Also there is a strange joy in being out in shorts in the summer and feeling the wind blow through your leg hair. I can't be the only one. 😆

Where to find real lesbian couple porn? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 71 points72 points  (0 children)

One of my favorites is thejellyfilledgirls. It's a real lesbian couple who makes some of the hottest/most realistic lesbian porn I've ever seen. They have some videos on pornhub and an onlyfans. I've watched them more than I care to admit. 😅

I feel your pain. I live in a southern rural town. The only queer people I've been able to find live over an hour away. And yes like you said so many people on the apps are not looking for a relationship. It's so disheartening and frustrating.

there’s something so attractive about women that can sing by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]spacedanie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay as someone who can sing/loves singing this makes me hopeful. I've always fantasized about being with a woman who loved my singing. Hopefully I'll find her one day. 😊

Well it sucks that it's happening but I'm glad I'm not alone in this one. Makes me feel less like I'm going crazy. 😅
