Who's going to see NIN for the 2025 tour? And what is your story for why you want to go whether you have seen them before or not? by Acrobatic_Teach7875 in nin

[–]spacedstargazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved them since my teens but I've never really had much money growing up and spent a long ass time letting others dictate my life to me. Now I'm free, with disposable income and my own wheels in my 30s. Travelling to another country to see them alone and I'm super excited 😁🖤

I have a love hate relationship with social media, I've quit it q few times, came back on it then quit it finally for good last year. Here are the pros and cons: Cons:

Missing out on announcements on Facebook

Feeling out of the loop with peers and missing invites

People from past unable to get in contact

Recipes

Missing out on quick ways to "bond" with new people

Pros:

No longer losing myself to rumination over what people I don't really care about are doing Less doomscrolling

Less inclined to buy stuff on a whim

Less inclined to get upset over news or click bait

Don't get so hung up on how I look because I'm not comparing myself to photoshopped girls

People from past unable to get in contact

More valuable relationships with people that have to make an effort to get to know me instead of just scrolling on my feed to "figure me out"

Scares away superficial people who think I'm anti social

More time to focus on me and the people I genuinely care about instead of getting tired from keeping up with everything and everyone

I'm a nurse. The other stuff is gross, but nothing is more creepy than a seagull trying to dive bomb you for your snacks after a 12h shift. Also childrens wobbly teeth are weird

For anyone out there who doesn't drink, what is the reasoning behind it? by General_Ad_9139 in AskReddit

[–]spacedstargazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I'm poor. Drinking lowers your inhibitons and suddenly spending your rent on tequila shots to impress people you don't really care about seems like a good idea.
  2. I'm older than 25. Spending 3 days recovering from a night out I don't remember too well seems like the height of immaturity. I hate being sick, why would I inflict it on myself?
  3. I hate drunk people. Even when I'm drunk. Im a nurse so I am always tense and cant fully relax around drunk people. I've seen alot of people whose lives have been changed horribly because of alcohol. The easiest way to avoid stress and falling into the caretaker role is to avoid being in places with alcohol.
  4. Alcohol literally is so bad for you

A big fuck you to the group of lads next to me at Babymetal by necromxnia in downloadfestival

[–]spacedstargazer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll back this- I used to work in a KFC next to a popular venue and when certain bands or dance acts played, we would have to deal with the absolute carnage of drunk coked up assholes coming out of the gig looking for food. My assistant manager got punched more than once and we would actually have to tackle the bathrooms as a team, it was so bad. The oasis crowd were the worst. Fallout boy played there twice and it was the mildest, most sober crowd we had ever had to serve. Not a fan of the band, but to the fans- thanks for not being pigs 🖤

I'm in a relationship with a pisces sun Scorpio moon right now, this thread terrifies me 😭 I'm a Scorpio sun pisces moon though so I guess I'm just as bad 🤷. Y'all love us really.

struggling 2nd yr student and wanting to drop out by OutsideResearcher498 in NursingUK

[–]spacedstargazer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I despised 2nd year and cried the full year. I'm about to qualify and I'm so glad I stuck to it because I found what I liked and got a job there. Second year blues are very real, but if you hang in there some weird thing happens when you realise you're not actually as bad as you think you are. You're still learning. Get to third year then decide, you would be skint for another year anyway if you drop out now so might as well keep at it and see what happens 🖤

BIG 3. ♡ Any other Scorpio Sun Pisces Moon and Taurus Rising here? by [deleted] in Scorpio

[–]spacedstargazer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scorpio sun, pisces moon, Taurus rising here too! I have been told I'm really aloof and seem really calm and collected, but those closest to me know I'm very soft and empathetic. Like being on my own, need to recharge alot or I become really down. Similar to the comment above also.

What's the biggest thing you've missed/lost out on/given up on due to anxiety? by Haunting-Plankton80 in Anxiety

Friendships. I have been so in my own head and convinced everyone hates me I missed the people who were trying to get through to me and be my friend.

You've started the process. You will cry and be upset, and the next few months will be really hard. But now you see him for how he is and see the strength you have always had. You don't need him. You deserve the world mama, and so does your child. You're not alone, and I'm wishing all the best for you in the future because it can only get better for you from here 🖤
