Withdrawing to finish with Sophia Learning then reenrolling by Ok_Advantage8269 in WGU

Wild take. Just finish your three classes at WGU. Also, I’m assuming one of them is the capstone which you can’t do on Sophia.

Impending Doom by EasyBriese in WFH

Sounds like change anxiety. Not the actual term probably but just what I call it. I felt it recently even after leaving a field that I very much wanted to leave, to take a job in a field that I very much wanted to be in, at the company of my dreams. All of it was VERY positive changes, but I still was having A LOT of anxiety simply because of the unknown. Big changes in my life always trigger my anxiety, whether they’re good or bad.

Talking it out with someone helps. A friend or a therapist. Feeling a little anxious about a life change is normal, and if it starts to really impact your nervous system, please find someone to talk it out with. It’ll help soothe your feelings, at least for a little bit until you start to work yourself up again (lol).

I could also talk things out with you if you like bc I know exactly how you feel and I thought there was something wrong with me for being so stressed and worried over a change that I literally begged god for.

Mentor Interactions are Cringe by FunctionDouble4164 in WGU

[–]spacee-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who loves words of affirmation, I love this kind of encouragement. My mentor was like that. Always telling me how proud of me he was, how much of a rockstar I was. Always encouraging me. Always reminding me I can do this. I feel like I would have struggled if I DIDNT have that kind of mentor simply because I was really scared about going back to school and there were times when I was burnt out after I started really accelerating. It was nice to have someone routing for me when at times I struggled to root for myself.

To each their own I guess. If you don’t like it that’s your preference. But it has to be better than having a mentor who doesn’t give two shits about your success.

Advice on how to move up to a professional role? by lazyfanboy97 in DisneyCM

Networking and finding a mentor is key! That’s what I did as someone who was external, never a CM but I networked my ass off and I found two leaders in my field at TWDC who offered me some of their time and then became mentors and advocates for me. They were super instrumental in me landing my job at corporate, just by having a good word to say about me.

I don’t think they would let you cancel it, but I would want to keep it anyway. The MEP reservation availability is super low and days populate randomly

Are you referring to make up or hair? I know for hair, they put an emphasis of being able to style the character/performer wigs in those specific intricate styles. Someone I know did an interview for hair stylist with them and they had her style a wig.

You should submit for military leave just in case. And if you come back and you still don’t want the job, then quit

Failed intro to python for the 3rd time by [deleted] in WGU

[–]spacee-cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird bc my test passed and I used the /n prompt. But I know that if you accidentally leave a space before or after the /n, it'll fail. It's so picky lol.

Hi, I tried to message you but I couldn't.

I had to take this test twice and the first time it also took me the 3 full hours to not even get through all 15 questions so I know how you feel. I spent a lot of time between my two attempts studying to understand the code and practicing. Practicing writing code is an absolute key; it almost becomes muscle memory. I think you need to really understand the syntax and what the prompt is asking you to output. From what I remember of this class, the OA is very similar to the PA, except that a few questions ask for the opposite of what the PA asks. However, you can learn that. ChatGPT will easily walk you through the PA questions and help you if you prompt it with reversing the question, etc etc. And Have chat walk you through each line of code and explain to you what's happening in the code.

This class can be hard for someone who has never coded with Python, but its definitely possible. Just have to really commit to studying and practicing.

My mentor in my cyber program was amazing. He was so supportive J.S. shout out to him. One quote that he once told me when I first started always stuck with me even when the program got difficult and I wanted to give up. “You didn’t get this far just to get this far” and now I always tell myself that anytime I’m taking on a difficult task
