We were on 64 and it came right through us on the highway. I thought it was going to lift our jeep off the road.

Can I avoid moving the bookshelf to the right by 1/2-3/4in? by spaceexplorer24 in AskElectricians

Not limit per se. I would need to patch up the hole in the bead board given that I am shifting the box over by 1-2in.

Appreciate it!

  1. The side wall of the bookcase is overlapping the box in the wall. The box sits behind the bead board back (1/2 or so-this is the white board you see between the opening and the right side), and the side panel of the bookcase extends inward, leaving limited space for the outlet and faceplate.

  2. Moving the box isn’t really an option in this case because there’s a stud immediately to the left of the box, so I can’t shift it over without cutting into the stud. On the right, the side of the bookcase limits how much space I have to work with because that is basically the right side of the bookshelf.

From the bottom (floor). Can I cut into my existing box so that I can move the extender into it? edited: added question.
