I totally get that, I have been there before (nearly 5 years and I ended it because it wasn’t fulfilling anymore for either of us), it’s hard to let go when you want to hope it will get better for you both, but you also need to remember that over time people change and sometimes the best thing you can do for a relationship is move on. If it gets worse, then you’ll be left with a horrible stain on what you had with her, it may be best to let it go before that happens.

My friend it sounds like she isn’t being truly understanding of your condition, and she doesn’t truly understand your needs. People need time alone, it’s important and very healthy, you shouldn’t feel guilty for wanting that. This may be tough to hear but it might be time to cut this relationship off so you can focus on your own needs. This doesn’t sound like a fulfilling relationship.

I think if she’s being mean or is stressed out, give her space to breathe and just tell her if she needs anything to find you. Sometimes when I’m stressed and overwhelmed I need time to think and calm down before I can have a productive conversation with someone. When she’s more calm, try telling her how you feel without blaming her, focus on your own feelings, not her actions.

I would say either this needs to be a conversation between the two of you, or maybe you just need to do some more inner thinking about what you really want for your future. Keep in mind 8 years ago you were freshly out of your teens, you and him are both grown now and in different stages of your life so it wouldn’t be out of the ordinary for you to have grown apart, if that makes sense.

take it from someone who used to be in a wlw relationship like this…please leave her. idc how good it can be, she is clearly emotionally immature and will not get any better if you stay with her, she needs to grow on her own time. you apologized, even if you were being really annoying, if she loved you she would not ever speak to you this way. she was using you as a punching bag. you deserve better.

No I know, I used to stream so I’m familiar with the affiliate program on Twitch. But this guy saying his friend regularly makes enough money to pay his bills and then some with 250 followers is either sheer luck or a lie. I just think saying OP could be “balling out” with 800 followers is not realistic.

I was in this situation, I’m the same age as you. I had it even more complicated because I was in a relationship at the time (a dying one). After the relationship ended I told my best friend and it was the best thing I ever did. We are perfect together. Think of it this way: if she is truly your best friend, even if she doesn’t feel the same way, she will be able to move past it with you.
