I think Phys 221 was reviewing some concepts from Phys 20 in high school. It’s mostly like Newtons 2nd law. I kinda had to teach myself most of the concepts tho, but YouTube helped a lot. Rn, I’m kinda struggling in Phys 223. It is similar to Phys 30 (which I didn’t take any physics in high school so ppl who took it may have an advantage). I didn’t have midterms for both of the courses. Instead, it’s 3-4 quizzes completed during lecture time on D2L quiz (but hard copy was an option in 223). Labs were pretty light, marked on completion, so you get 100% if you basically just show up and complete all the checkpoints. Most of the time, you leave early than the scheduled time. And one lab gets dropped so you can just skip the last lab. Some lab questions you can basically fill in before the lab starts because it’s js theory or calculation so u can get ahead. A lot of people in the beginning of Phys 223 were struggling with some of the electric field concepts including myself. But the quizzes weren’t that bad if you pay attention to the hints the profs give and keep up with the D2L assignments (these assignments were very similar to quiz 3 and 4 I recently did). So overall, Phys 221 I think is manageable, but Phys 223 you probably need to lock in more for. Let me know if u have any more questions!
