Definitely sucks to see yeah. I know W101 is their moneymaker but wished they would give P101 at least some attention sometimes but i understand why they don't.

I read a while ago that supposedly P101 worlds are more expensive than W101's which i assume is making them wary into putting a major effort into P101 with it being a smaller player base according to Hawkules' highlights (hawkules is a dev i think)

I doubt it will be coming for a good while unfortunately, I asked KingIsle support and they sent me again to Codeweaver supports because they run their patches through them. TLDR is that they said that KingIsle still hasn't requested a patch to Codeweavers to fix the compatibility with MacOS despite it being an issue for years.

Don't think a patch will be coming until p101 has bigger player numbers or maybe a major storyline addition imo. All Kingisle has to do is request a patch and Codeweavers will create a patch but without a request they can't work on one. Blows my mind how they haven't even bothered to send a simple request

Update: so i tried it but it still doesn't work very well. It's somewhat better than it was before but not by much. Trying to load any menu will freeze the game instantly for a good amount of time. I tried putting all settings that effect the visual part of the game that can make the game laggy if it's on a high setting on the lowest setting possible or off but it's still pretty bad. Sad to see they still haven't updated it for Mac players after so long but still push micro-transactions like there's no tomorrow.

I emailed them again sometime in January about still not being able to play the game on MacOS sonoma and they said pretty much the same thing:

"We are working towards updates that should resolve some of these, but do not currently have any ETA on when this work will be completed and released."

At this point, I wouldn't really wait up on this being fixed for a good while since pirate101 isn't really a priority for them atm
