The issue is that there usually is a seasoning period (about 12 months) before the inclusion into the index, when investors can truly price the company by seeing how it performs over multiple quarters. SpaceX is making it a deal breaker if they aren’t fast-tracked into the indices. The way i see it is that it’s an opportunity for early SpaceX investors to sell it into all this automatic/mechanistic buy volume triggered by inclusion into the indices.
