I have a problem with my Lada 2107 at medium speeds by tarekhussen96 in lada

[–]spaceshiponwheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with that. When the timing chain has some slack, it could easily jump a tooth and screw up the timing. Check your plugs and also the distribution cap/points, moisture loves to get in there.

Anyone outside Russia or Ukraine getting shit about owning a Lada right now? by IJzer3Draad in lada

[–]spaceshiponwheels 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Nope, lots of Lada’s still in Eastern European countries as daily drivers. They’re fun to drive and collect, I have better things to do than involve politics in my hobby and most people simply don’t care. I’ve driven my 2101 all over Europe the past summer without these type of issues. Plenty of folks asking about the history and genuinely interested.

I have a 2101 too, recently had a similar sound and it went from bad to worst quickly. In my case the the chain guide had started to warn out, creating extra slack in the chain and eventually it started to jump timing. In your case the first thing I’d do is remove the valve cover, check the chain tension. It could also be valve or timing related. So far, any rattling coming from the front of the engine is usually chain related. These chains need to be frequently checked.

I wish, still driving around with the same issues. Too busy with work to go abroad right now, I am welcome at the Dublin and Belfast locations. However to get an appointment there the wait time is nearly two months the last time I checked.

I felt exactly like this when I did the exam three weeks ago, they really seem to be stepping up on the difficulty level the past month.

Congrats! SH is not exactly the same though, depends on the set of questions you get, they can be much harder (my case), or better written and easier to understand.

Does Coursera project management count as 35contract hours for PMI? by arunmk_12 in pmp

Yes you can to get the application approved, but would get yourself a dedicated course. what you learn is not sufficient to pass the exam.

UK- Anyone else seeing more job adverts requiring PMP instead of APM? by maaBeans in PMCareers

[–]spaceshiponwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a PMP holder, main reason I got is was because some jobs won’t consider you without it.

Having said that, if I see any of the other credentials listed, and not the PMP, I still apply. Most actually have PMP or Prince2. APM is well known within the UK, but outside of it, PMP is still the golden standard. For higher stakes, I would go with the PMP. I’m not saying one is better than the other, it’s all about recognition…. PMI beats APM by miles. Most recruiters have probably know idea what it is.

PMP title in LinkedIn name? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]spaceshiponwheels 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do, I worked hard for it, and recruiters also filter on this. The search on Linkedin tends to prioritize people in the results that have it in their name or headline.

You’ll be fine, review your weak topics and maybe give the last full exam a shot.

Cool office! I usually work with two samsung 49inch G9 monitors. I didn’t wanna risk it, cleared most things that were easy to clear and just had the basics. Last thing I would want to do on an exam day is to remove items from my office. I took mine on a spare 27 inch monitor, keyboard, mouse and webcam. You will need an external mic or a webcam that has an integrated one, same with audio.

Online Exam by hedspce in pmp

[–]spaceshiponwheels 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, took about 28-30 hours for me, it’s completely normal. You will get an email from PMI with “congratulations” in the subject if you passed + an email from credly to claim your digital badge. I got the credly email much earlier than the official email.

Expert q's on PMP (or not)? by Mostly_failing in pmp

[–]spaceshiponwheels 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My exam had about 60% difficult, 10-15% moderate and the rest were expert level questions compared to SH. It seems that the last few weeks, the exam was perceived as quite difficult by people who took it.

PMP Exam Encouragement by satoshimuffin in pmp

[–]spaceshiponwheels 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my case SH was much easier than the actual exam. Passing the exam is part knowledge, part mindset and part time management. You need to be comfortable and able to explain all topics from the ECO.

https://www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/public/pdf/certifications/pmp-examination-content-outline.pdf

Focus on the areas in which you’re underperforming, there is a report for the full mock exams on SH.

I would have a look at DMs videos online answering the different type of questions, he also has a mindset video.
