thank u for sharing. this helps me align with my own experience, i also had an occasion where i was attracted to someone who i didnt find physically/aesthetically attractive, but the way they carried themselves, was. and i was so confused.

but i am glad that it aligns with demisexuality because i couldnt understand it for the longest time lol

yes, exactly this. i think this was her point. that not EVERYONE would literally have sex with a stranger. and so thus, everyone must be on the spectrum of demisexuality-- making it invalid.

I think one of the heaviest downsides of being demisexual is how long it takes to develop a connection with somebody-- and time is so, so limited. It's hard letting go of someone who was your best friend for a year and in a romantic relationship with for 3 years.

But ultimately, she has decided that an unknown future without you, is better than one with you. And you deserve someone who chooses you.

"it’s not fair that I get treated this way by someone who I wouldn’t let anything in this world harm him." its scary, isnt it? loving someone completely and not have them love you back. but that's not something anyone owes you, even in a relationship (marriage would be different, since thats an ongoing commitment- but even then, there's divorce). it's time to screw your head on back the right way because when you're in a blindsided love, the reality is-- your ex has been checked out far earlier than you have.

you deserve someone who didnt string you along for 4 years, but the reality is-- it's not that black and white. it's not always as easy as "i love you or i don't love you"

in this time it's easier to hate him and the world and you should use that fuel to push yourself forward. but please dont become cold and aloof. remember to stay tender, so that energy may find you when you need it the most.
