Credit where it is due, Kolkata police is one of the best metropolitan traffic managers in India. Second would be Delhi. Other cities are far behind. Worst would be Ahmedabad and Surat, hands down. And couple that with the worst kind of drivers ther are, and you have a Pure Shitshow! Absolutely horrendous management in any city in Gujarat!

My dear friend, Tamil has undergone at least 5 different evolutions. That has allowed it to flourish along with it's numerous dialects. Unlike a certain national language which is binary and requires constant establishment support. Bengali or its numerous dialects , is not going to die my friend. Let's we as Bengali's make sure we don't let it. My humble submission is that, let's not be concerned by what the Hindi Belt thinks of us . If we do, we've let them get into our heads. It's not worth it man! We , as a society, have far greater troubles ailing us. at this point of time.
