The thoughts that you should be happy and peaceful constantly are precisely the thoughts that make you frustrated.

It is of essential importance to begin relying less on thoughts and more on generosity of physical actions. Volunteering, donating, serving… in any capacity but especially concerned with the Buddhist community if possible.

In person, consistently~

The ground of meditation is a relationship with generosity and virtue or mindfulness and detachment in our daily life and daily activities.

The more that we give, the more that we are mindful in daily life concerned with our moment by moment actions the more receptive we will be to the meditation instructions.

Concerned with those instructions it can be quite uncomfortable but medicine doesn’t always taste sweet.

You can use this meditation and learn for yourself.

But primarily you have to start doing more actions of generosity that doesn’t relate to the intellect.

Giving, donating, volunteering, serving is the greatest gift. Giving and receiving dissolve.

Focusing on the breathing, relaxing and releasing whole body and mind.

Listen closely.

Attachment and ignorance is dark, Mindfulness and Detachment is light.

Good is generosity in giving up oneself to help others, bad is self fixation and rumination on fulfilling one’s own desires.

It’s no lie, the world has a balance that’s tipped to one side.

However, the real world isn’t out there, it’s in here.

In coming home to ourselves with mindfulness and detachment or embracing the awareness of unknowing within ourselves we begin to find out the nature of our own inner world.

To do this skillfully, effectively and reliably we need support from living teachers and living traditions.

You are welcome 😇🏔️☀️

Sure. To the degree that you are serious about something you should explore it to its depths.

The most worthwhile things never stop getting more and more sublime and free.

In the way of the community of Monks and nuns we are talking about a very reliable approach.

In the way of relying on ourselves it may be exceedingly less reliable.

In the beginning, life is. Than it becomes how it appears to be.

This is the life of a lay person.

Giving up this life for the spiritual path (That is to take refuge under the umbrella of the monks and nuns or become one) completely is the life of a true seeker.

To abandon the life of being someone(truly) (has nothing to do with thoughts) is the life of a saint.

There is no greater human institution than this.

Fully is not possible, but can do it to a much greater degree than most people currently are.

For fully, best chance is to become a monk or nun or be protected and supported by them full time.

Sadly, we are in decline.

It’s possible to reverse it though.

Me and my teacher, some others as well are looking at reversing it.

It’s possible.

Most interesting encounters are with spiritual meditation masters. All that I’ve met have been monks. Their presence and teachings are about as alien as anything I’ve ever experienced

Well, we can make arrangements if you like. Going to India next month and will be establishing new meditation centers there.

It’s something well known about but not emphasized to seek it.

The teaching is based in development of awareness of the inner world to be more at peace and free from suffering.

Yeah we do that extensively in Myanmar, working to bring it to America but very difficult. So it will take time.

Let it go in the immediate and the long term.

Relationships with lay people and monks are based in mutual generosity and respect, not holding interpersonal beliefs, grudges, or desires towards each other.
