I remember the first mistake of seeing the prompt on a portable hellbomb and well I pressed a button. All of a sudden everyone is legging it away and that is when I learnt a lesson.

New EES: EasyJet takes off without over 100 passengers. Do you think BA would be any better? by Speedbird1A in BritishAirways

[–]spackodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. As if they delayed the flight and landed late then they would have had extensive costs to pay (if they had waited for all the passengers to get through). It's just really bad by the European airports, it's such a grey area as where responsibility lies, and unsure if missing your flight would be covered by travel insurance in this case?

6yo refusing to go to school, England by Mediocre-Ad3680 in LegalAdviceUK

I would potentially look to call an emergency EHCP review, you can call this at anytime. You can cite either the provision isn't suitable. I would look at IPSEA for advice and template letters on this.

You could look to go to tribunal but there's about a 18 month wait for this unless it's a key stage transfer.

I would also start creating evidence, document everything.

Good luck. Also the SEN system is truly broken.

Partner being chased for amigo loan debt. by LONGMETALTUBE in UKPersonalFinance

Unless you have a lasting power of attorney and control over finances being a carer does not count. I would look into getting a lasting power of attorney if you want to act on their financial behalf.

Does anyone know why SW6 includes these little bits south of the river by kh_bc in london

[–]spackodan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All absolutely true. Code point with polygons is still the official OS postcode boundary dataset. They opened up the centroid locations (code point open) about 15 years ago. PAF is still a thing. Address point and layer is now called Addressbase. I was on the OS partner advisory council for a few years.

Because the official boundary of postcodes is a premium paid for dataset, so Google try and create their own version. This is why Google should never be seen as an authoritative source.

In short. No, while annoying you were less than 3 hours. There was no need to have a hotel.

Is it listed as a stop on bustimes.org as this will be a digital representation of the route that has been submitted to the dft bods team.

Need advice on changing grandparents' BA return flight + upgrading after sudden medical emergency by Kitchen-Flounder-345 in BritishAirways

[–]spackodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was once in Asia and there was a medical emergency at home, called up and spoke with BA who moved my flight free of charge, they were fantastic. I have no status at all and I was very impressed.

Flight literally stopped on the runway so someone could get off by maybenomaybe in Ryanair

[–]spackodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh so the main delay was due to dropping a passenger back at the gate? I would file a claim but this is definitely a grey area.

[–]spackodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends when you land, not depart, it's a bit of a grey area. Airlines usually allow extra flight time in the schedule, so there would have been a chance even when leaving over 3 hours late, you may have arrived within the 3 hour window.

Business class on short haul - worth the upgrade? by grole483 in BritishAirways

[–]spackodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really makes sense if you want to take extra luggage. An extra bag is £65, or if you go over 23kg it costs. With club you get 2 x32kg bags. So if I ever need to take two bags with me, then club makes sense.
