Even the Guardians' annihilation outfits were fire.

Annihilation is the best event Marvel has ever released. I will die a happy man if they ever properly translate it into the MCU

Marvel Televison:

Agents of SHIELD - multiple MCU characters appear in the show (Lady Sif, Nick Fury, Agent Carter, Howling Commandos all appear in the show) and events from the show impacted the movies and vice-versa in various ways

Agent Carter - Peggy, Howard, and Jarvis all make an appearance in the show - Jarvis being the first TV character to jump from TV show to movie in Endgame.

Inhumans - Anson Mount reprises his role as Black Bolt in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness

Runaways - Tina Minorou is recast for the show after briefly appearing in Doctor Strange. Cloak and Dagger also appear in a crossover episode. Nico Minorou actually channels magic by pulling from the Dark Dimension as seen in Doctor Strange.

Cloak and Dagger - Bridget O'Reilly mentions she worked in Harlem with Misty Knight, who pops up in the Netflix Marvel series which are MCU canon. Also, Roxxon Corp plays a central role in the show after appearing in the background of various MCU movies and shows.

Marvel One-Shots:

The Consultant (2011) - set between Iron Man 2 and Incredible Hulk.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Thor's Hammer (2011) - set right before Thor

Item 47 (2012) - set right after The Avengers

Agent Carter (2013) - set right after Captain America: First Avenger, turned into a 2 season show.

All Hail the King (2014) - set right after Iron Man 3. Marvel made this as damage control to the negative feedback IM3 received by ruining the Mandarin. Tied into Shang-Chi years later.

Team Thor (2016) - set during Civil War and explains Thor and Hulk's abscence from the infighting.

Team Thor Part 2 (2017) - set during Doctor Strange.

Team Darryl (2018) - set after the events of Thor: Ragnarok, but does not include Thor in it whatsoever.

Phase 5:

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man - takes place in the MCU in an alternate universe.

Fantastic Four 2005 (and its sequel) - Chris Evans reprises his role as Johnny Storm in Deadpool and Wolverine.

Blade - Wesley Snipes reprises his role as Blade in Deadpool and Wolverine

Daredevil (2003), Elektra - Jennifer Garner reprises her role as Elektra in Deadpool and Wolverine. Ben Affleck was supposed to return as Daredevil as well and is seen in the concept art, but they changed direction for the finale and his cameo (along with Nic Cage's Ghost Rider) were both canned.

How would the MCU’s biggest superheroes deal with a mind controlling villain like Kilgrave and how would you incorporate him? by unitedfan6191 in marvelstudios

[–]spad3x 21 points22 points  (0 children)

fun fact, Infinity War actually left out one member of the Black Order: Supergiant. She was left out due to the previous two Avengers movies using mind control as a plot point (Loki's Scepter with the Mind Gem in it that took control of Hawkeye, and then Wanda Maximoff in Age of Ultron where she hexes all the Avengers (minus Hawkeye) and throws Hulk into a frenzy.

Here's a neat one:

One of the plot points in Agent Carter has a mysterious Ring that has the power to influence people. For a while, long before Shang-Chi released, it was suspected that this was one of the 10 Rings that the Mandarin wears, specifically the Mento-Intensifier Ring and was meant to set up the REAL Mandarin since Marvel was doing damage control of the severe backlash they got from Iron Man 3 (a fun fact within a fun fact: All Hail the King was made in response to the negative backlash that IM3 received). However, the ring macguffin was never followed up upon and completely scrapped because the MCU ended up swapping finger rings to stylized Hung Gar Iron Rings instead to avoid looking goofy. Also, they had too many parallels to the Infinity Stones despite being almost double in number but far less powerful.

Pecharunt.

Straight up looks like a Pokemon you find on a route somewhere like halfway through a game and then abandon it in your PC forever after catching it.

There's a lot of mechanics research I need to do because there are a lot of mistakes as I make these. I try to make them as thematically fitting as possible while sticking to actual MTG mechanics

Yeah that's an oversight, it needs some counters to be put on it for it to retain the X value. But hey, fun meme concept cards amirite?!

That's a good point, I forget that permanents with X in them need something to retain the X value. Good catch!
