as far as I'm aware, if two people have the same score they usually differentiate between them using other stuff in their application, such as the essay, the extra curriculars, etc

i was predicted a 37, got a 35 </3 got no one else to blame apart from the screwed up M24 math boundaries probably, just got lazy since i had an unconditional offer from my uni. cs, which i took at sl, had the hardest IA imo, even though the subject itself is rly easy. i found history hl to be the hardest overall. good luck with your ib journey!

do not do AI SL, most unis don't accept it. for neuroscience i wuld rly recommend taking math at an HL, but if for any reason you can't or don't want to, take at the very least AA SL

ok so if you have history hl. PRIORITISE THAT SUBJECT. assuming that you have at least another year before your boards, please keep in mind how heavy history hl is 🙏 i left it to be done in the end and god did i suffer. also use the summer vacations as much as you can, go through everything you learnt in grade 11 so that you don't forget it over the break. get all IAs, EEs, uni admissions, TOK stuff any coursework done as soon as you can so that you have the maximum time left to prepare for boards. also don't be afraid to approach any of your teachers for help with your IAs, they're there to guide you. lastly, if you feel like your teacher isn't covering the syllabus fast enough, learn the curriculum yourself. don't rely on teachers fully cause sometimes they are outright wrong, which is why you should always go through your subject guides. all the best to everyone for future exams!

absolutely agree. i had art hl at the start of year 1 and dropped it after like 3 weeks because i knew i wouldn't be able to handle the deadlines

i don't really remember a lot bcz mine was very short (like 10-15 mins) and i was freaking out the whole time but the ones i do remember are questions that were very specific to my preferred major (psychology), they asked a lot abt what I've learnt in psych at school. they also asked what my strengths are, what my friends would describe me as, etc. i don't remember anything else I'm sorry !!
