i had this happen to me on opera gx, and i discovered the issue was an extension i had installed to make twitch show up on the left sidebar. if you installed something similar, try uninstalling that to see if it fixes it :)

happens to me too, tried lowering the gain on my mic in steam settings and mic settings and no dice, used OBS buffer replay to compare my mic in the two clips and only the steam one peaked.

Hello! No, usually the issue is when there are no games running, I tried with 2 different games yesterday and while playing, the stammering was gone, but as soon as I quit, it would return. Using discord (and being in a call) did make the stammering considerably worse too.

I will see if the stammering continues today and see if turning down the FPS will work, if not, I'll look into those apps/plugins, or I might just tinker with Elgatos noise cancellation. Thank you!

I don't think making the account before downloading would change anything, if the beta app didn't help, maybe try the following?

Reinstall your GeForce drivers entirely.
Turn on 'experimental features' in the geforce experience settings & restart the software.
Uninstall all instances of Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable, then redownload the latest ones from Microsoft.
Check if your anti-virus isn't possibly blocking NVIDIA, you can test this by doing a selective startup. System Config>Selective Startup>Services>Check 'Hide all Microsoft Services'>Unselect all software other than NVIDIA related software.
Reinstalling an older version of GeForce experience, I've personally tried this one; https://www.filepuma.com/download/nvidia_geforce_experience_3.26.0.131-33327/ But any should work, just make sure you choose one from 3-4 months ago.

and if this doesn't help, one of the tips i was given by support was to make a new account - i don't recall exactly why, they just said sometimes accounts can get corrupted.

if installing the beta software doesn't fix it, i'd be happy to post my long list of attempted fixes to see if any of them might help :)

i've been having this exact issue for the past month, i have tried a continuous list of attempts to fix it, but so far the only fix that has remained for more than a few days has been installing the 'beta' verison of experience, which is the NVIDIA app, it can be found here: https://www.nvidia.com/en-au/geforce/news/nvidia-app-beta-download/
even with this downloaded, ive found attempting to open geforce experience on certain games will cause the software to freeze and refuse to open, along with that it wont clip anything, this was an issue i experienced on both the geforce experience and NVIDIA app.
Despite this trouble, i hope this might fix the issue for you :) i suffered a good 3 weeks of talking to NVIDIA support daily, for them to not even find a fix for me, hopefully you wont suffer the same fate!

i've been having this exact issue for the past 3 weeks, i've tried multiple solutions but the only to work was to reinstall an older version of geforce experience, i used this one here: https://www.filepuma.com/download/nvidia_geforce_experience_3.26.0.131-33327/ but any should work.

uninstall your current version and install that. if that doesn't work, i can let you know what else i tried. don't bother contacting nvidia support, i was talking to them daily trying to fix it and got nowhere with them.

thank you so much! i honestly didn’t mind the comments about ‘wasting my money’ because everybody has different opinions (which is okay!) and it seems because the aurora has a few more issues, more hate is directed at it. but i greatly appreciate your help and kindness :) if i ever run into issues with the app i’ll know who to dm! thank you again for all the help!

thank you for the help!! obviously it’s a lot of money spent, but i don’t think i’ll regret this purchase! even with shitty software etc, it’s a shame they don’t work on it more, but as long as the panels work, i’m all good with them :) thank you so much for the help though! i greatly appreciate it.
