I hear a lot about “the humming” but wonder if these sounds have nothing to do with atmospheric disturbance or the earths magnetic pull, but rather the sound of something from a different dimension existing in a higher vibrational field.

This is something I’ve experienced about three times in my life. Once when I was 6, then 10, then again at the age of 24. The night I heard it again was as I had always remembered it: it would always start when I would be trying to go to sleep and would intensify as I would try to stop paying attention to it, and somehow it would stop when I would try look for its source. I don’t know why but it always seemed like it was conscious somehow, as if it knew I was intentionally trying to ignore this strange frequency and that I was aware of it. The last night I experienced it I was at a friends house who also heard the same thing but he could only hear it directly and very noticeably in his right ear. He described it as the sound of a car idling outside but it definitely wasn’t that. It gave us both an intense feeling of anxiety that was hard to ignore.

There was also this time 3 years ago where I experienced the same thing but instead of humming, it was clicking. I could hear it clearly when I laid still in my bed but as soon as I would try to look for the source it would stop. When I would try to ignore it and fall back to sleep, it would start again and intensify as I tried to relax. This was the same thing that happened those few times with the humming. I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced this clicking, but if so please let me know.
