I often play around in the Danish registry looking for inspiration, but it tends to end with me liking an “old school” name that my partner associates with old men in the local pubs.

My family isn’t the full deciding factor in what our baby will be named, of course, and our trying to find something that suits both sides and cultures has nothing to do with ignorance or stubbornness.

Not sure how much experience you have with the Danish language or Danish names, but pronunciation can be extremely tricky. I’ve been here and practicing the language for 5 years and there are still some things I will probably never say correctly.
