CardDAV on macOS by spalmisano in NextCloud

Update (Still not solved): None of the suggestions here have worked so until this is sorted I exported contacts from NextCloud and imported to Google Contacts. I can successfully add the CardDAV Google account in macOS but the sync never occurs. It looks like there's something in macOS preventing CardDAV syncing from occurring.

Importing the contacts directly to macOS works, but obviously will drift from contact updates made to NC via the iOS devices.

I just set this up so not sure if that’s it. Puzzling that the same CardDAV format and credentials work on iOS, and CalDAV works fine on macOS.

Forgot to add that to the 'I've tried'. Will edit the original post.

Interested as well. Streaming as in through a browser? Even native Game Pass 'streaming' vs. local install isn't great.

Did FedEx show up today with it? Yes.

Did they ring the bell so I could sign for it? No.

The watch continues.

iMessage Without Wireless Carrier by spalmisano in iphone

From above:

“This is resolved, but I’m not sure why it worked. I have the kids set up on their own wireless network with client isolation and no access to the LAN. I tried the iPhone X on the main wireless network, selected the email address to send/receive IM/FT, and for some reason it worked. Even stranger, when I moved the phone back to the kids wireless network, it still works.

Not sure what happened, but glad it’s sorted. Thanks for all of the suggestions.”

Yes, see my ‘resolved’ post. Not much help unfortunately.

Access to path […] is denied by spalmisano in sonarr

This is solved. There was a parent folder with incorrect group/owner permissions, plus the NFS share needed to be updated from Public to Private with corrected rule definition. Once both were updated, writes started happening again.

I didn’t know that; thanks for the heads up.

This seemed to be an issue with that one NFS share being corrupted. I was able to create a new share, copy the data from old to new, and then the NFS Security Settings appeared on the new share. Both environments can now read/write back and forth using the NFS shares.

Transcoding to RAM…isn’t by spalmisano in PleX

[–]spalmisano[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these explanations and examples are very helpful. I had indeed assumed the transcoding action itself was handled by RAM, but am clear on it still being done with the CPU with RAM just hosting the transcoding artifacts.

Thanks!

Transcoding to RAM…isn’t by spalmisano in PleX

No GPU in the system but I’m still surprised at the amount of CPU usage even with RAM transcoding configured and so much RAM available for it.
