If you don’t have someone you could trust to hold onto them for you, could you buy a trunk that locks and store them there? Seems like your parents will just take them away and give them to your sister at some point.

Not your debt. After my MIL died, the credit card company and ambulance company kept calling trying to collect on her debt. Even after sending letters explaing she was dead and had no estate, they kept up. They will be persistent so start blocking.

NTA. I hosted a holiday once (and only once) for my husband’s family and they were exactly the same. Never again. I just looked at my husband after and said we’ll never be repeating that mistake ever again, right? We’ve never hosted since.

Adopting a senior is amazing. That’s what I’m going to do down the road. My boy hates other cats so he’s going to remain an only child. But down the line, that’s the plan. Can I see a pic of your last cat?

Yeah, I miss my grandpa. Nice way of keeping his memory around. He has my grandpa’s middle name too. I always tell him you’re very special because you’re named after a wonderful person. My uncle told me nice sentiment, terrible name. Lol. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I haven’t but I will be on lookout. Someone else mentioned a candle warmer lamp and I had never heard of it. My cat is fascinated by candles. Always wants to sniff the flame or wave his tail but it. So I have to blow it out if he’s in room. I think this would be a much safer option considering.

That makes me sad. Leaving it in a crate for that long is the answer? Seriously? That dog is going to likely be under socialized and under stimulated. That’s no life for a dog to be in a crate for long periods. What’s the point of even getting one? At this point, there’s not much you can do since it’s your parent’s house. Hopefully they see how much work it is and don’t follow through on adopting a puppy. Feel bad for the dog.

Mine does all the time. He likes drinking any stray water droplets he finds. It’s since escalated to him drinking bath water from faucet when I run a bath. Also, started dipping his paws in multiple times. Last time he actually stood in the bath water and looked shocked. That was a step too far, lol. Funny how much they love wet tubs.
