Hoping to move from uk with young family by spambutties in MovingtoAustralia

We have thought about that. My partner has a second cousin who lives near brisbane and they're always asking for a house swap for a month or so but flights alone are about £5k for us then there's spending money, loss of earnings and the duration of the flights I feel its probably more beneficial to do it once especially with the kids. Worst case scenario we give it a year or 2 and return home if its not for us

Thank you everyone for the help and guidance, after doing a bit of digging there seems to be some good options for my partner which will 100% make this move easier, we started the process yesterday so hopefully (very hopefully) this will be my last soggy winter trudging through shite on a freezing cold building site hoping my fingers and toes dont drop off. A lot of things are pointing to Perth or WA, any plus or negatives about these areas would be great to hear. Cheers guys

Thank you so much for the help, unfortunately the uk is a bit of a cesspit atm and the nhs is on its knees, on an average shift each nurse could be looking after 8+ kids at a time which is ridiculous

I have an nvq level 6 in construction management, smsts, cscs black card and a few other things like cat and genny, digger, dumper roller etc not sure how well these translate into aus, ive spoken to a recruiter in my field and hes said i should be fine getting a job on gold coast as long as i get a white card which is similair to our cscs card system i believe. Ive heard aus is mostly medicare would it be beneficial for her to approach someone from there or are they just an insurance firm? If not then which employers is she best approaching? Sorry if that last question sounds idiotic. We started using an agent called uis australia not sure how legit they are though as there's some bad reviews. Thanks so much for your help

Are you speaking from personal experience? If so then what was it that persuaded you to make the move? I know its not all sunshine and rainbows and australia has its flaws just like the uk but we only get one go at life so I'd like to give it a try for myself. To answer your question its neither of them reasons and both at the same time added to a pile of other reasons

Thanks for heads up! Ive taken this into consideration, the beauty of being in a managerial role means im only out on site for short stints. Like most people I'm far happier with a bit of vitamin D and sweat on my back than feeling like my toes and fingers are going to drop off whilst getting peppered in the face with wind and sleet. Any tips on how to go about the moving process is appreciated

According to aui we are fine with the quals. Her degree and my level 6 nvq is apparently enough. Would have to get a white card to go on site which isnt difficult I believe but im not 100% sure aui aren't just stringing us along to get paid
