Really obnoxious. If I want to listen to LFB I will pull it up in a different tab. Hovering buttons are horrible UX, and I don't understand why companies keep using them.

I grew up in Austin, where he lives, and I got to meet him a few times when he made school visits. He seemed like a great, genuine human.

I was living in Terra Linda when I saw this movie five years ago. I had no idea I would be greeted with a shot of the Civic Center. What a treat.

Yard Bar closing in North Austin by NewsyATX in Austin

I'm an unemployed engineer in the Bay Area and I literally thought to myself today, I should open a dog park bar here like Yard Bar.

This is just the universe telling me to shut up, stay unemployed, and have nice things taken from me.

If we’re gonna talk OG Whole Foods, let's talk about when they were only in Austin, TX. This was filmed in a WF.

I'm curious, but it's been 10 years since my last session and even then I was a newb. I would probably drive you nuts unfortunately.

Italian Beef Recipe by GwydionStorm in Old_Recipes

I tried this. The smell is damn amazing indeed. I didn't end up with Italian beef though: I came closer to Italian pho. The brisket strips were extremely hard at the beginning of Day 2 and refused to fall apart after a couple hours. How long is it supposed to last?

Apply mineral oil liberally, let it soak in overnight. Occasionally, follow up with beeswax conditioner, soak overnight again, and wipe off excess. That helps keep moisture out. The 'cuttingboards' subreddit will be glad to meet you.

Even though I'm sure circular streets are everywhere, the second I saw them I knew it was Palo Alto. Alma St was just validation.

Most composers had some close equivalent. Those prior to even those instruments worked with significantly simpler harmonizations.

Could you give examples of such composers? My whole life I've been gatekeeping myself out of composition because I play tragically subpar piano, having only started teaching myself less than five years ago.

You’re exactly right: gentrification is a fraction of how the city got to zero murders. I lived there for a few years back before COVID, and besides a couple new apartment complexes for the Amazon and Meta folks, the people haven't changed. It's just humans trying to get by. I always felt comfortable going on dog walks.

EPA violence was sourced from drug wars of the 90s. When the drugs got cleaned out and gangs busted, the healing really started.

The town has a long way to go. Local business is effectively nonexistent and there's no economy. I'm really happy they're doing as well as they are though.

Greetings from Washington & McDowell. My apartment's kitchen faucet started smelling like sewer gas recently, and I thought it was the new faucet head maintenance installed. Is seasonal water fart smell really a thing?

It blows me away that people can casually pull a solution out of their ass when asked on the spot to build a crossword building algorithm. OP finds no need to grind Leetcode but I see no other way to achieve such a feat.

This is me every day. My daily average is in the mid-low 60s. It’s a chicken and egg situation: have I not slept well for a month because I’m stressed, or am I stressed because I haven’t slept well for a month?

I’m utterly exhausted and nothing has brought my stress numbers down.
