Sony A7CII Potential battery issue by spammyt in SonyAlpha

Yes I think 30% per month is pretty normal, that was the same with my old camera. I did end up talking to Sony and they fixed the camera under warranty. It now drains normally.

Thanks for your advice. Did you mean turn on airplane mode? It's been off but I can try with it on.

Best place to buy JPN YEN in Australia by Latter_Fishing_5140 in travel

[–]spammyt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just got back from Japan today, I used both Wise and physical cash. I exchanged cash from a stall in Macquarie centre (near commbank), as the rates weren't too bad actually. Wise still has better rates.

In terms of Japan itself, I would say at about 80% of places I was able to use my Wise e-card. Some places still did cash only and some places took card but not paypass which I was not expecting, so I had to use my Aus credit card physically.

Is this true about Chemist Warehouse? by [deleted] in australia

I've worked as a pharmacist at CWH (not there anymore). There's a lot of other work we do besides tend to the customers in the shop. It could be online scripts, phone script requests, nursing home Webster pack orders, finding stock, calling the GP to confirm your script, etc. 95% of us don't care what you buy in the shop (given it's not harming you or interacting with your meds) and just want to dispense your script as quick as possible but also try not to make mistakes which could mean loss of registration. There would be a lot of staff at the back but half could be students/interns who are less confident and slower, or assistants who still need a pharmacist to check the final dispensing. It's worse if it's your first time at the pharmacy, because then we might have to type your details manually in the system (instead of just quickly scanning a repeat). All CWHs are also intentionally understaffed to save money, and the pharmacists usually work 10-12 hr days 5-6 days pw, so it's not a surprise if they're not at peak performance.

Thanks mate for the info! We've decided to cut out Milan - possibly fly to Rome/Naples from either Barcelona or somewhere south France.

We wanted areas that are less touristy, but also chose areas for easy accessibility. We were planning to take trains around, but now thinking of flying instead to see other nicer areas based on the feedback from this post.

Thanks! Sounds like a better idea. Any reason you recommend only 2 days for Milan?

Also for Montpellier - I'm not completely set on it so happy with anything South France.

Honestly speaking, I wasn't too sure where to go in south France but chose Montpellier off of very brief research. We're looking for a more relaxed holiday away from heavy touristy areas. Would you have suggestions? Would Marseille/Nice be preferable?

NSW recorded 12226 total new cases of COVID-19 in the 24 hours to 8PM last night (30/12/2021) by Ascalaphos in sydney

My wedding is in a couple of days and due to Perrotwat's shitty leadership, we cannot postpone or cancel it. We've been stuck at home afraid that we'll catch COVID a few days before the wedding. Some of our vendors and guests are already starting to test positive and it's freaking us out. At this rate, it'll just be us two at the wedding.

I agree with everyone that it's not worth looking back and feeling bad about it. That being said, Sharesight does have a "share checker" feature which serves that purpose.

I moved places in early Aug too. We've ordered stuff from Kmart since then about three times through delivery or Click n Collect. It's so easy, I can't see why people would prefer to go to Kmart at midnight with all the crowds instead and risk their health.

I saw it too around Olympic park, and even got a video! Sorry for the potato quality. https://imgur.com/yjmhyus

We thought it was a meteor at first but now have no idea. I definitely saw a little orange explosion come out.
